The invention relates to adjustment of optical output power and extinction ratio. A laser cuts resistors to obtain a desired resistance value, thereby adjusting an automatic power control loop circuit. Since several cuttable resistors and other components can be welded with Surface Mount Technology (SMT), process is simplified, the stability of products is increased and the production costs are reduced.
Abstract:
A cellular phone is provided. A connector is used for connecting cellular phone physically to a connection port of a computer. A nonvolatile storage device stores data received from the computer. A controller determines whether the cellular phone operates in a storage mode or a phone mode. When the cellular phone operates in the storage mode, it receives data from the computer via the connector, and stores the received data in the storage device. When the cellular phone operates in the phone mode, it executes a default functionality of the cellular phone.
Abstract:
A computer interface card including a circuit board, a first connector, a second connector, several first conductors, a second conductor, a third conductor, a cover and a base is provided. The first connector is disposed on one side of the circuit board to be electrically connecting to a cable. The second connector, which is disposed on the opposite side of the circuit board, is electrically connected to the first connector and a third connector of a computer. The signal transmitting interface between the second connector and the third connector includes a PCMCIA, a Card Bus or an Express Card Bus interface. The cover and the bottom cover are buckled together to retain the circuit board. The cover and the base have a metal cover and a metal base respectively, wherein the metal cover is electrically connected to the first conductors and the metal base.

A backlight module. The backlight module includes a first light guide, a second light guide, and a plurality of light sources. The second light guide comprises a least one first medium transmissive and a least one second transmissive medium. The transmissive media are disposed between the incident surface and the emergent surface and have different refractive indices. Light emitted from the light sources enters the second light guide through an incident surface of the second light guide and exits the second light guide through an emergent surface thereof. Light emitted from the second light guide enters the first light guide through a first side surface thereof.
Abstract:
A composite alumina powder with thermal resistance and high specific surface area and a method for producing the same are disclosed. The composite alumina powder is mixed with multi-phase alumina powders for raising the temperature of phase transformation, so as to maintain its high specific surface area when suffering high temperatures for a long time. Therefore, as the composite alumina powder of the present invention is applied as a high temperature catalytic material, it provides high specific surface area required of the catalysis, prolongs its lifetime, and reduces the amounts of noble metals used as well, resulting in great reduction of cost.

A back-end method for photomask making generally includes the steps of inspecting a photomask and repairing each defect on the photomask. The step of inspecting the photomask preferably comprises a defect finder mark implementation routine. In general, when inspecting the photomask for defects, the defect finder mark implementation routine deposits a defect finder mark on the photomask via a mark installer (not shown) included with a mask marking inspection system. Deposition of the defect finder mark includes establishing a location that is adjacent to the defect and establishing a size that is detectable by a mask repair device (not shown). By deposition on the photomask, the defect finder mark reliably facilitates location of the corresponding defect despite variations in image resolution and stage movement between the mask marking inspection system and the mask repair device.

A hot water and steam generator includes a base, a first seal plate mounted on the base, a container mounted on a side of the first seal plate, a second seal plate mounted on the base, a mounting ring mounted between and sealed by the first seal plate and the second seal plate, and a rotation wheel rotatably mounted in the mounting ring. Thus, the hot water and steam generator increases the water temperature rapidly due to collision and friction of water molecules by rotation of the rotation wheel so as to produce hot water and steam easily, rapidly and conveniently.

A cathode structure for inverted OLEDs is provided, which comprise a substrate, a conductive electrode layer, an organic material layer, a dielectric layer, and a metal layer. Wherein, the conductive electrode layer is disposed over the substrate, the organic structure layer is disposed over the conductive electrode layer, the dielectric layer is disposed over the organic material layer, and the metal layer is disposed over the dielectric layer. Such cathode structure can function without using the metals of low work function and high chemical activity so as to benefit the manufacturing of organic light emitting devices and displays, and provide a more stable working conditions.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for controlling a TX power amplifier are provided. The method is for generating a power control curve in an inter-slot region between two continuous or adjacent time slots, which respectively have different modulation types. The method and apparatus produces a concave inter-slot ramp control curve for reducing the power of the TX power amplifier in the inter-slot region, where the power for signal transmission is transformed from a first power value K1 to a second power value K2. The method and apparatus further estimates a transient period of the concave inter-slot ramp control curve, during which modulation switching of the TX power amplifier may occur.

A cooking device includes a base plate, a cooking plate mounted on and cooperating with the base plate to define a receiving space therebetween and formed with at least a drain hole in fluid communication with the receiving space, and a partition unit mounted on the base plate within the receiving space and dividing the receiving space into a warming compartment that is adapted to receive food therein so as to warm the food during cooking, and an oil compartment that is isolated from the warming compartment and that is adapted to receive oil, which is formed on the cooking plate as a result of cooking and which is drained through the drain hole in the cooking plate.
