Abstract: Disclosed are devices, system, and method for mitigating wind damage to satellite antennas and for reducing the amount of ballast required to secure the satellite antennas. The device, system, and method include a mast on which an antenna may be affixed, a pivot gear capable of rotating between two or more positions, and a tension force or retention force on the pivot gear. A load force applied to the antenna creates a risk of damage proportional to the load force. The antenna system is capable of transitioning from a first orientation into a second orientation when the load force exceeds tension force or retention force, or the sum thereof, such that the antenna system experiences a reduced load force and therefore a reduced risk of damage. The device, system, and method also reduce the amount of ballast required to secure a non-penetrating antenna installation against tipping or sliding.

Abstract: Novel techniques are described for automated transition classification for binge watching of content. For example, a number of frame images is extracted from a candidate segment time window of content. The frame images can automatically be classified by a trained machine learning model into segment and non-segment classifications, and the classification results can be represented by a two-dimensional (2D) image. The 2D image can be run through a multi-level convolutional conversion to output a set of output images, and a serialized representation of the output images can be run through a trained computational neural network to generate a transition array, from which a candidate transition time can be derived (indicating a precise time at which the content transitions to the classified segment).

The above steps may be implemented as a computer-implemented method, computer program product, or device such as a television receiver, or in other types of embodiments.

Abstract: Various arrangements for monitoring the unauthorized use of a vehicle are presented. An in-space parking sensor may be used to detect whether a vehicle is present. An indication of a time period during which the vehicle is expected to be within the parking space may be received. Using the sensor data obtained from the parking sensor, a vehicle departure from the parking space may be detected. A determination may be made that the vehicle departure is unauthorized due to the vehicle departure occurring during the time period. An alarm indication may be output based on determining that the vehicle departure is unauthorized.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards an antenna mount that is configured with a self-plumbing mast for simplified peaking.
