    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a gap period following a downlink portion of a time division duplexing (TDD) frame. The UE may selectively perform, based at least in part on the gap period, a clear channel assessment (CCA) on a channel of a radio frequency spectrum band. The UE may transmit at least one of a sounding reference signal (SRS) or a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble in a set of initial symbols of an uplink portion of the TDD frame following the gap period, wherein the SRS or PRACH preamble is frequency-domain multiplexed during the set of initial symbols with one or more of: a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), an uplink data transmission, an uplink control transmission, or a random access transmission.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems supporting power control parameter configuration for configured grants (CGs). In some implementations, a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling configuring multiple sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets and multiple sets of power control parameters for CG uplink transmission. The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a retransmission and indicating which set of power control parameters the UE is to use for the CG uplink retransmission. In some other implementations, the control signaling may configure multiple SRS resources sets but a single set of power control parameters. The UE may receive DCI activating the CG configuration or scheduling a retransmission, the DCI indicating a second set of power control parameters not configured by the control signaling. The UE may automatically use the power control parameters configured by the control signaling or may determine a second set based on the DCI.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network device, a downlink control message that schedules a first and second repetition of a transport block for a downlink shared channel in a first component carrier of multiple component carriers, the first and second repetitions scheduled in a first and second transmission occasion associated with the downlink shared channel. The UE may monitor for the repetitions in the respective transmission occasions, and the UE may decode the transport block based on a number of transmission occasions associated with the downlink shared channel in the component carrier and a data rate limit across the multiple component carriers including the first component carrier.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating an aggregated sidelink resource reservation rule for reserving time-contiguous transmission time intervals. The UE may transmit a sidelink control reservation message based on the aggregated sidelink resource reservation rule. The sidelink control reservation message may indicate a starting transmission time interval for reserving a set of time-contiguous transmission time intervals in a sidelink shared channel. Additionally or alternatively, the sidelink control reservation message may indicate a quantity of the set of time-contiguous transmission time intervals reserved for transmission of a set of aggregated sidelink messages. The UE may transmit the set of aggregated sidelink messages via the set of time-contiguous transmission time intervals of the sidelink shared channel indicated in the sidelink control reservation message.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for narrowband communications using frequency hopping in an unlicensed frequency band. In some implementations, a base station (BS) may transmit downlink (DL) data using a sequence of DL hopping frames on a corresponding sequence of unique hopping channels associated with a DL frequency hopping pattern. In some implementations, each user equipment (UE) of one or more UEs may transmit uplink (UL) data using a sequence of UL hopping frames on a corresponding sequence of unique hopping channels associated with a different UL frequency hopping pattern.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) may include: receiving a multicast bandwidth part configuration for multicast communications between a base station and the UE, where the multicast bandwidth part configuration includes a maximum number of multiple-input, multiple-output layers to be used for the multicast communications; establishing a multicast link with the base station for multicast communications; determining to use a reduced number of antennas for multicast reception than the number of antennas used for unicast reception, or determining that the UE is able to decode the multicast communications prior to a remaining portion of the multicast communications; and receiving the multicast communications via the reduced number of antennas, or reducing the radio frequency power prior to completion of a number of repetitions or retransmissions of the multicast communications.
