Abstract:
A self-closing slide is movable between an open position and a closed position. The slide includes a frame, a linear gear on the frame and a carriage configured for movement along the frame. A biasing element operably connects the frame and the carriage to bias the carriage to the closed position. A pinion gear is carried by the carriage and is positioned for movement along the linear gear with movement of the carriage along the frame. A damper is operably connected to the pinion gear and to the carriage and an engagement gear is operably mounted to the carriage and to the damper. The engagement gear is movable between a first, engaged position in which the engagement gear engages the damper and a second, disengaged position in which the engagement gear disengages the damper. When the carriage is moved from the closed position toward the open position, the engagement gear is in the second, disengaged position to disengage the damper so that the pinion gear rotates. When the carriage is moved from the open position toward the closed position, the engagement gear is in the first, engaged position to engage the damper, damping rotation of the pinion gear along the linear gear.
Abstract:
A drive assembly in a motorized door opener includes a motor that is mounted on a mounting structure. At least one vibration isolator is provided between the motor and the mounting structure. The vibration isolator includes a first mounting fastener configured to be mounted to a mounting fastener on the motor, a second mounting fastener configured to be mounted to the mounting structure to mount the motor on the mounting structure, and an elastomeric material between the first and second mounting fasteners. The elastomeric material lies between the first and second mounting fasteners so that the isolator's two mounting fasteners are not in physical contact.
Abstract:
A self-closing door structure includes a frame, a door pivotally mounted on the frame, and an arm also mounted on the frame and pivoting between two stop positions. The first stop position corresponds to a closed position on the door and the second stop position corresponds to an opened position. The door structure additionally includes a spring coupled to the pivotal motion of the arm and acting upon the arm in the direction of the first stop position when the arm is located in a position between the first stop position and a dead center position of the spring. The arm has a driving element for coupling the motion of the door to that of the arm and is disposed for engaging with an engaging point of the door over the course of a closing motion of the door and for disengaging over the course of an opening motion.

Abstract:
A hinge assembly includes a damping unit mounted on a securing seat that is connected to a door frame, a housing embedded in a door panel, and a hinge member and a positioning member interconnecting the securing seat and the housing. The damping unit includes a fluid cylinder and a piston rod having an actuating end pivoted to the positioning member. Due to the presence of the damping unit, movement of the door panel relative to the door frame can be damped.

Abstract:
A window structure has a door which slides substantially parallel to a wall to open and close a window therein and hides parallel to and behind the wall when the window is opened. Guide pins protrude upward and downward from the door, and elongated slots are formed in guide plates attached to the wall so as to serve as passageways for the guide pins to travel therein and therealong as the door is slidably moved between open and closed positions. A biasing member such as a cantilevered plate spring is provided to keep the window closed with its biasing force once it is closed and to prevent it from closing when the door is in open position.
Abstract:
A sliding door structure suitable for furniture and the like, comprises a first door (1) and a second door (2), respectively slidable on a pair of parallel, spaced upper guides (4,6) and a pair of parallel, spaced lower guides (3,5). The said first door (1) is connected to rollers (17), which roll on the guides (4), by a mechanism (10-40) able to cause a coplanar positioning of the doors (1,2) in the closure position, and displacement of the first door (1), substantially perpendicularly with respect to the door translation direction, to superimpose the first door (1) over the second door (2) during opening of the doors themselves.
