    Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a calibration device for calibrating a dental camera (1), which is based on a fringe projection method for optically measuring a dental object (10) in three dimensions, comprising a projection grid (2) for generating a projection pattern (3) that consists of a plurality of fringes (5), and an optical system (4) that projects the generated projection pattern (3) onto the object (10) to be measured. In a first step, a reference surface (74) with known dimensions is measured by the dental camera (1) using the fringe projection method. Actual coordinates (33, 36) of a plurality of measurement points (11) are determined on the reference surface (74), and the determined actual coordinates (33, 36) are compared to target coordinates (34) of the measurement points (11) on the reference surface (74). In the following method step, proceeding from the deviations (35, 37) between the actual coordinates (33, 36) and the target coordinates (34), a plurality of compensation values (40, 50, 51, 52, 53) are calculated for the individual fringes (5) of the projection pattern (3).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a colored blank, which contains zirconium dioxide and is intended for the manufacture of a dental restoration, whereby raw materials in powder form, at least some of which contain one coloring substance each, are mixed with, zirconium dioxide as the main ingredient, the resulting mixture is pressed and subsequently subjected to at least one thermal treatment. To generate the desired fluorescence, it is intended that in the raw materials in powder form one uses as coloring substances at least terbium, erbium, cobalt, as well as one substance that generates a fluorescence effect in the dental restoration, however not iron, aside from naturally occurring impurities.

    Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a curable one part silicone composition. The curable one part silicone composition includes an organopolysiloxane compound having at least two unsaturated groups; an organohydrogenpolysiloxane compound having at least two Si—H groups; a catalyst for enabling the addition of the hydrogen atoms bonded to the silicone to the unsaturated group; and at least one surface treated particulate filler. The curable one part silicone composition is useful as a dental impression material. More particularly, the curable one part silicone composition including the surface treated filler extends storage stability of the dental impression material. The disclosure also provides methods of preparing such curable one part silicone composition.
