摘要: Methods and kits of materials and supplies for restoring teeth by an injection molding process and/or mold overlays in situ in a patient's mouth so as to correct the imperfect teeth of the patient's dentition. The imperfect teeth are corrected by applying restoration materials using a mold of a corrected model of the patients dentition placed over the imperfect teeth. Adjacent teeth may be covered with a polymer release material prior to injection molding of teeth to be corrected, such that the teeth to be corrected have at least one tooth between them draped with the polymer release material to provide a space adjacent to each of the corrected teeth. The corrected teeth are then covered with the polymer release material in a second round of treatment and restoration material is applied to one or more previously covered teeth to provide a first layer which simulates the dentin layer of teeth. Thereafter a simulated enamel layer is applied over the dentin layer using one or more alternating molds and yet another simulated incisal layer is applied over the enamel layer using one or more alternating molds employing the techniques described.

摘要: A fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly is provided. The fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly includes an abutment member, a male member, and a cap. The abutment member has an outer locating surface portion projecting downwardly from an upper end. The male member for attachment to the abutment member has an upper end for engagement within a cap in a recess in a dental appliance, and a continuous, unbroken skirt projecting from the upper end of the male member for engagement over the outer locating surface of the abutment member. The skirt may have a rounded, convex outer surface, and the male member may be constructed from a PEEK material.

摘要: A method for directly printing orthodontic and dental appliances on the teeth of a patient. The tooth is scanned with a scanner which is communicated with a computer controller configured to recognize the anatomy of the tooth. The surface of a tooth of the patient is then prepared in order to receive the type of appliance designated for the patient. Using image data from the print head, the computer controller prepares a three-dimensional blueprint or design of an appropriate orthodontic or dental appliance. The computer controller controls the type and amount of material that is distributed through the print head only when the print head passes over the recognized anatomy so as to directly print the corresponding appliance onto the tooth layer by layer as the print head makes successive passes over the surface of the tooth.
