    Abstract: In one embodiment, a method can comprise sending identification data representative of an identification of a base station device to a subscriber identity module. In response to the sending the identification data, the method can comprise receiving status data representative of a response from the subscriber identity module, and based on the receiving the status data, sending, fetch data representative of a command to be acquired from the subscriber identity module. Additionally, the method can comprise receiving, from the subscriber identity module, command data associated with the command to be performed by the mobile device. Furthermore, based on the receiving the command data, the method can comprise sending, to the base station device, response data representative of whether the command has been determined to have been performed.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for sending queries and commands related to an extended idle mode discontinuous reception operation (eIDRX). There are vendor and manufacturer specific mechanisms for determining the eIDRX parameters of different, but there is currently not a network wide, standardized protocol for sending AT commands relating to eIDRX for device. In an embodiment, standardized eIDRX protocol can enable a mobile network to query a device to determine the current eIDRX mode and parameters, to query the device about the list/range of supported parameters, and to program the device to start using a new eIDRX parameter.

    Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards avoiding a misconfiguration that uses a Long Term Evolution (LTE) and new radio dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) carrier as an LTE carrier and new radio primary secondary cell carrier concurrently for a dual connectivity mobile device. Network equipment can detect the misconfiguration and prevent its usage, or if already configured, deconfigure the LTE DSS secondary cell during setup of a dual connectivity mobile device. Alternatively a dual connectivity mobile device can detect the misconfiguration and notify the network to terminate one of the carriers. Information regarding the misconfiguration can be saved in the mobile device to proactively avoid the dual misconfiguration going forward. Such information can be communicated to other mobile devices, as well as the network.

    Abstract: Aspects of the subject matter described herein are directed towards indicating to a wireless network device which time-division duplex slot patterns (slot formats) are supported by a user equipment device, e.g., which slot patterns have gone through interoperability and deployment testing (IODT) successfully with respect to the type of user equipment device. With the supported slot pattern information, the network can make an intelligent decision on scheduling downlink/uplink ratios, while selecting a slot pattern that the user equipment device is known to support. In one aspect, the technology adds a “Slot format IODTed” information element in the user equipment device capability information, which the network obtains when the user equipment device reports its capabilities to the network. In another aspect, the network can query the user equipment device for the supported slot format information.
