    摘要: A novel method and apparatus for sealing an inner pouch containing surgical instruments and/or elements in an outer breather pouch is provided. The method involves sequentially transporting a series of open inner pouches contained in an outer breather pouch to a viewing station wherein positioning data is obtained concerning the precise location of the inner pouch relative to a base position. Thereafter positioning data is transmitted to a sealing apparatus which adjustably positions a sealing means to consistently seal the inner pouch through the outer pouch material. The apparatus includes viewing mechanisms for determining the position of an inner pouch disposed in an outer pouch relative to a base position. Adjustable sealing apparatus communicates with the viewing mechanism to receive positioning information relating to the inner pouch. Based on this information the viewing apparatus is adjusted so as to be able to effect accurate sealing of the inner pouch disposed within the outer pouch.

    摘要: A method of preparing high density particulate slurries is provided whereby slurries containing in excess of 23 pounds of particulate per gallon of fluid can be introduced into a subterranean formation. In accordance with the method, a viscosified pad fluid is introduced into a wellbore to create a filter cake in a desired zone within a subterranean formation. The high density slurry then is introduced into the formation to substantially fill any annular space present without significant settling. This permits the coating of the entire exterior surface of highly deviated casing exposed within a wellbore.

    摘要: Waxes, for example waxes obtained from dewaxing hydrocarbon oils, called slack waxes, and synthetic waxes such as those obtained by Fischer-Tropsch processes, are isomerized into oils boiling in the lube oil boiling range, e.g., 370.degree. C.+, by contacting the wax under isomerization conditions and in the presence of hydrogen with an isomerization catalyst comprising a noble Group VIII metal on a small particle size refractory metal oxide support having a low total fluoride content catalyst wherein the total fluoride content is in the range of 0.1 to up to but less than 2 wt % fluoride and the support has a particle diameter of less than 1/16 inch. The small particle size refractory metal oxide support is preferably alumina or material containing alumina, preferably predominantly (i.e., >50%) alumina, more preferably an alumina such as gamma or eta. The most preferred alumina is 1/20 inch alumina trilobes. Noble metal content ranges from 0.1 to 2.0 wt %.

    摘要: A noble Group VIII metal on low fluoride content small particle size refractory metal oxide isomerization catalyst is disclosed. The catalyst is characterized by having a fluoride content in the range of 0.1 to up to but less than 2 wt %, preferably 0.1 to 1.5 wt %, more preferably 0.2 to 1.0 wt %, a particle diameter of less than 1/16 inch and a preferred noble Group VIII metal loading in the range of 0.1 to 2.0 wt %. The preferred small particle support is 1/20 inch trilobe alumina.The catalyst has been found to be useful for wax isomerization demonstrating excellent selectivity to oil boiling in the lube oil range while also having acceptable activity. The catalyst is also useful for waxy distillate and waxy raffinate isomerization.

    摘要: A cleaner package for receiving materials a constituent or constituents of which are to be separated and/or cleaned includes means defining an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber which are axially spaced and have at least one centrifugal cleaner unit interposed therebetween. The opposite ends of the cleaner unit respectively define a first passage for inflow of said materials thereto and a second passage for outflow of a portion of said materials therefrom. The inflow passage has means defining an inlet exposed to said inlet chamber while the outflow passage is arranged to discharge to the outlet chamber. The initial portion of said inflow passage, including said inlet, is directed in a substantially straight line path, the sense of which is substantially the same as that of the central longitudinal axis of the cleaner. The construction provided enables an easy slip fit mount of the cleaner unit.The preferred construction of the cleaner unit features an improved separable head wherein said inlet and the following portion of said inflow passage has a configuration enabling the related cleaner to function in a manner to provide increased throughput and cleaning equivalent to that of a conventional side inlet cleaner but with a lower pressure drop. Where the pressure drop is made equivalent to that of a conventional side inlet cleaner it provides improved dirt removal.
