    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration for a group-common physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), where the group-common PDSCH is repeated for a number of repetitions. Accordingly, the UE may determine this number of repetitions and then monitor for the group-common PDSCH based on the number of repetitions. In some implementations, the group-common PDSCH may include a semi-static repetition scheme, where the number of repetitions is indicated via a group aggregation factor. Additionally or alternatively, the group-common PDSCH may include a dynamic repetition scheme, where the number of repetitions is indicated via a group repetition number. Additionally, the techniques described herein may enable the configuration for the repeated group-common PDSCH to include gaps between each repetition of the group-common PDSCH and for the UE to transmit acknowledgment feedback for the repetitions of the group-common PDSCH.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) block including DCI for a set of transport blocks scheduled for the UE, the DCI including a set of fields. The UE may decode the DCI block to obtain the DCI for the set of transport blocks, where at least two fields of the downlink control information are jointly decoded according to an encoding scheme, and where each possible output of the encoding scheme corresponds to a jointly valid combination of the at least two fields. The UE may receive the set of transport blocks from a base station based on the DCI.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some networks, a user equipment (UE) may switch between serving beams of a transmitting device that are associated with different bandwidth parts of a radio frequency spectrum. To improve aspects of beam measurement and selection, a UE may be configured to support various techniques for beam measurement according to the different bandwidth parts. For example, a UE may receive a beam measurement configuration associated with one or more beams, and may monitor for reference signals associated with the beams using the different bandwidth parts. The UE may determine a channel quality of one or more of the beams based on the monitoring, and transmit a beam measurement report to the network in accordance with the beam measurement configuration. In some examples, such a report may be transmitted based on the UE determining that an event condition is satisfied.

A user equipment (UE) and a satellite of a non-terrestrial network (NTN) may establish communications on a beam of the satellite. The UE may receive, on a first carrier of a first set of carriers associated with a first beam, a configuration for the first set of carriers associated with the first beam and a second set of carriers associated with a second beam. The first carrier may be used to send a first set of synchronization signals, and a second carrier of the second set of carriers may be used to send a second set of synchronization signals. The UE may identify some system information associated with the second set of carriers based on the configuration and reselect to the second beam based on the configuration.

A user equipment (UE) may determine an inactivity timer associated with a first set of one or more beams used for communicating with a network entity associated with a satellite has expired. The UE may identify location information corresponding to the location of the UE with respect to the network entity. The UE may identify beam geometry information for one or more beams associated with the network entity. For example, the UE may receive the beam geometry information from the network entity. The UE may process the location information and the beam geometry information to identify a second set of one or more beams, the second set different than the first set. The UE and the network entity may communicate according to the second set of one or more beams.

A narrowband internet of things (NB-IoT) user equipment (UE) associated with a non-terrestrial wireless network may identify a first synchronization procedure that is specific to the non-terrestrial network and different from synchronization procedures specific to terrestrial networks. In some cases, the UE may identify a different channel raster or may receive an indication of a true frequency of operation of a narrowband cell in the non-terrestrial network. The UE may identify the narrowband cell associated with the non-terrestrial network and may synchronize with the network using the identified synchronization procedure.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for establishing rules for scheduling downlink data transmissions and flow control feedback for the downlink data transmissions to avoid confusion at a base station and a user equipment (UE). In one example, when flow control feedback from a UE is disabled for a downlink data transmission, the UE may still operate according to a timing for reporting flow control feedback for the downlink data transmission. In this example, the UE may drop (e.g., refrain from decoding) other downlink data transmissions based on the timing for reporting flow control feedback. In another example, when flow control feedback from a UE is disabled for a downlink data transmission, other downlink data transmissions to the UE may be scheduled according to one or more rules to avoid confusion.
