Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support evolved semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) for wireless communications. A base station may configure SPS in which multiple time intervals are scheduled, each time interval including multiple slots that may be scheduled by different uplink or downlink resource allocations. The SPS configuration may include an ON-OFF duty cycle where an ON portion of the duty cycle spans a portion of a time interval and includes uplink and downlink resources, and an OFF portion of the duty cycle spans a remaining portion of the time interval and does not include any allocated SPS resources. Such SPS configurations may be used, for example, for transmitting sensor data and command information between controllers and sensors/actuators in a factory automation network.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support sidelink cancellation for out of coverage user equipment. Described techniques provide for signaling of cancellation indications to a user equipment (UE) or a group of UEs to refrain from performing sidelink communications on a set of resources. A base station may transmit a cancellation indication to one or more sidelink UEs via an access link that indicates that an allocation of one or more resources for sidelink communications has been canceled. A first UE may receive the cancellation indication from the base station via the access link and transmit a sidelink communication to one or more other UEs that indicates the canceled resource allocation. Based on the sidelink communication of the cancellation indication from the first UE, the one or more other UEs may refrain from transmitting using the canceled resources.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to one or more other UEs in a group of wireless network devices that includes the first UE and the one or more other UEs, an indication that the UE is a current sidelink scheduler for the UEs in the group of wireless network devices. The UE may receive, from at least one other UE in the group of wireless network devices, a scheduling request for a sidelink communication to be transmitted by the at least one other UE. The UE may transmit, to the at least one other UE, a grant of resources for the sidelink communication to be transmitted by the at least one other UE. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Wireless devices may communicate over a primary and fallback beam. To support communications over a primary and fallback beam, a preconfiguration procedure may be performed to communicate to a transmitting and receiving device the identity of the primary and fallback beam. A central scheduling node may assist in identifying the primary and fallback beam for the transmitting and receiving device. During communications, the transmitting and receiving device may switch to the fallback beam when an initial communication fails and may perform a retransmission that includes data from the initial communication over the fallback beam.

Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of wireless communication over a sidelink between a transmitting user equipment (UE) and a receiving UE. The receiving UE may receive a configuration of multiple resource pools for sidelink communications. The transmitting UE may transmit at least two repetitions of a sidelink control information (SCI) on at least two of the multiple resource pools. Each repetition of the SCI includes a reservation for a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) on a respective resource pool. The receiving UE may perform soft combining on the at least two repetitions of the SCI to determine resources for the PSSCH. The receiving UE may decoding the PSSCH based on the SCI, for example, by combining multiple repetitions of the PSSCH on the reservations indicated by the SCI.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a transmission reception point (TRP) apparatus of a Coordinated Multipoint (CoMP) network, determines a periodicity of periodic traffic between the TRP apparatus and a user equipment (UE), and schedules a Channel State Information (CSI) process in advance of a traffic window for a next instance of the periodic traffic in accordance with the determined periodicity. In another embodiment, the UE of the CoMP network performs the CSI process in advance of the traffic window for the next instance of periodic traffic between the UE and the TRP apparatus, the CSI process being scheduled in accordance with the determined periodicity of the periodic traffic.

In some cases, a first user equipment (UE) may receive a control message from a second UE indicating resources that are reserved for communications between the first UE and the second UE. The first UE may transmit a first control message and a second control message for reassurance of the reserved resources. The first UE may transmit a first control message for reservation reassurance, and the first control message may indicate a resource configuration for a second control message for reservation reassurance. The first UE may transmit an indication of the reserved resources, resource reservation reassurance information, or both via the second control message. A third UE may receive the first and second control messages and may refrain from communicating on the reserved resources based on the indication.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One method may include an eNB predetermining a plurality of bandwidth parts to monitor based on resource reservation information received from at least one base station, and transmitting information indicative of the predetermined bandwidth parts in a radio resource control (RRC) message. In some cases, a base station may transmit information indicative of predetermined bandwidth parts including a monitoring schedule to monitor either the first bandwidth part or the second bandwidth part in a timeslot of a set of timeslots. Another method may include receiving a predetermined monitoring schedule from a base station, and selecting a plurality of bandwidth parts to monitor on a physical downlink control channel based on the received schedule.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to reporting feedback for semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration updates. SPS communications can be activated over SPS resources with an access point. SPS update resources related to a configured periodicity for receiving SPS updates to SPS resource grants over a control channel can be determined. It can also be determined whether a SPS update is received in the SPS update resources over the control channel. Feedback can be transmitted to the access point, where the feedback indicates whether the SPS update is received over the SPS update resources.
