    摘要: A tank on a firefighting aircraft initially is loaded with water. A polymer gel emulsion vessel is provided on the aircraft, but is not activated and mixed with tank water until such polymer gel preparation is initiated by an operator. When initiated, a pump pulls water from the tank and doses it with gel emulsion. Double elbows and/or the pump impeller fully activates the polymer gel. The activated polymer gel is mixed within the tank by one of a variety of systems including mixing paddles or sparging with gas. In one embodiment, a hollow tower of telescoping form has a float to keep an upper end near a surface in the tank and a sparging gas entry is a controlled distance below the surface, such that gas of limited pressure, such as from a ram air inlet can sparge and mix the water and activated polymer gel emulsion effectively.

    摘要: The adsorber vessel is configured for radial flow between a center column and a perimeter manifold. Space between the center column and the perimeter manifold contains adsorption media. End caps close off ends of the vessel. An inlet and an outlet are configured within one of the end caps to feed starting gas into the center column or perimeter manifold, and to draw off product gas from the perimeter manifold or center column. An end cap can be removed to provide access for media loading between the center column and the perimeter manifold. Media is preferably provided within cartridges which can slide into this media space. Cartridges can be concentric with one cartridge inboard of the other, or can be stacked vertically. A spring plate can be provided on an open end to hold the media in position, while sealing the open end of the adsorber vessel.

    摘要: The tool includes an elongate rigid bar with fixed chain leaders extending from the bar near ends of the bar. A removable chain leader is provided between these two fixed chain leaders. In one form of the invention, the bar is hollow and a pin translates within this hollow core. A slot in the bar allows a proximal link of the removable chain leader to pass into the hollow core of the bar where the pin can removably capture this proximal link. Because the removable chain leader is provided on the bar, it can initially be captured to the bar for use along with the fixed chain leaders to position a tire chain onto a dual wheel pair. Then, the removable leader can be removed from the bar and act as a handle on a middle elongate section of the tire chain to assist in connection thereof.

    摘要: The die forming process includes first passing a circular coarse thread cutter over the forming surface of the die at an angle away from parallel to a side edge matching a pitch for coarse threads to be formed by the die. The coarse thread cutter is truncated with a notch within a flattened tip, the notch forming upper portions of crests in the forming surface of the die. A fine thread cutter of circular form is then utilized to cut portions of the root of the dual threaded die. The fine thread cutter is angled relative to side edges of the die at an angle substantially half of an angle at which the coarse thread cutter is angled. The fine thread cutter cuts at a variable depth as the fine thread cutter advances along the root between the crests to form flanks of a bridge within the root.

    摘要: A T-bar type support extends in elongate form and is configured, such as with a spine and rest shelf, for supporting edges of ceiling tiles thereon within a suspended ceiling system. A lighting module is suspended below other portions of the T-bar. The T-bar also includes a reflector plate above the body which extends at least partially laterally and below where the ceiling tiles are supported. A lighting source within the lighting module shines light upwardly which then reflects off of the reflector plate and down into an interior space beneath the suspended ceiling. Legs preferably suspend the lighting module below the reflector plate, with the legs preferably at ends of the T-bar, and with open space between the legs, so that nothing obstructs light shining from the lighting source up against the reflector plate and then down into the interior space beneath the ceiling.
