Abstract: A device having a stripline to substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) transition structure has a substrate having a top surface and a bottom surface. A first metal ground layer is formed on the top surface of the substrate. A second metal ground layer is formed on the bottom surface of the substrate. A set of metallic vias are used to connect both ground layers. The stripline to SIW transition structure is embedded within the substrate between the first metal ground layer and the second metal ground layer. The stripline to SIW transition structure has a first transmission line embedded within the substrate. An impedance transformer is coupled to one end of the first transmission line. A coupling structure is coupled to the impedance transformer. The coupling structure has a pair of transmission lines. The pair of transmission lines diverge outward and upward from the impedance transformer. An isolation device is used to isolate EM fields from bifurcation of the pair of transmission lines and EM fields located at the end of these transmission lines. At least one terminating via is attached to terminal ends of the pair of transmission lines. Sidewalls are formed on each side of the stripline to SIW transition structure.

Abstract: A roller coupling apparatus for securing rods and other threaded components together in a pumping system. The roller coupling apparatus can include a body with a plurality of radially-positioned wheels rotatably coupled to the body. The arrangement of the wheels can uniformly spread the rod load within the interior diameter of the tubing. In operation, the wheels contact and roll along the interior diameter of the tubing, preventing surface-to-surface wear of the coupling body exterior and tubing interior, thereby prolonging coupling and tubing life. In one embodiment, the wheels can include wear grooves that can indicate wear areas in the wellbore. Multiple apparatuses can be utilized to form rod strings of various lengths.

Abstract: A computing device displaying an electronic book (eBook) has a processor. A display is coupled to the processor. A user interface is coupled to the processor for entering data into the computing device. A memory is coupled to the processor. The memory stores program instructions that when executed by the processor, causes the processor to show text of the electronic book on the display, wherein predefined terms of the text have associated hyperlinks. A synopsis bubble is displayed adjacent a selected predefined term when the selected predefined term is accessed. The synopsis bubble displays at least one related hyperlink associated with the selected predefined term. Content from a selected hyperlink of the at least one hyperlink displayed in the synopsis bubble is downloaded and displayed.

Abstract: A testing device for a backflow preventer assembly has a plurality of automated valves. Each automated valve is coupled to a corresponding test valve of the backflow preventer assembly. A vent side diverter array is coupled to at least one of the plurality of automated valves. A high side bleed solenoid is coupled to a high side of the pressure differential transmitter. A low side bleed solenoid is coupled to a low side of the pressure differential transmitter. A vent side bleed solenoid coupled to a vent side diverter array. A plurality of bypass solenoids is coupled to the high side bleed solenoid, the low side bleed solenoid and the vent side bleed solenoid. A first sensor is coupled to the high side bleed solenoid, the low side bleed solenoid and the vent side bleed solenoid.

Abstract: A rotator apparatus for rotating a plunger, traveling barrel, valve rod, or sucker rod of a pumping system. The apparatus is adapted to be coupled to various downhole pump components and positioned within the wellbore. In one embodiment, the rotator apparatus includes a north coupling component, a piston, a cage, and a south coupling component. In an embodiment, the piston may include a plurality of flutes, which are formed so as to impart cyclonic rotation on fluids passing into the interior of the piston. On each downstroke and upstroke, the piston rotates an increment, causing the south coupling component and plunger, traveling barrel, valve rod, or sucker rod to rotate an increment. The rotation imparted on the plunger, traveling barrel, valve rod, or sucker rod redistributes the solids present in the fluid, preventing accumulation of the solids and constant wear in one particular area of the plunger and/or barrel.
