Abstract:
The present disclosure is generally directed to antiviral compounds, and more specifically directed to compounds which inhibit the function of the NS3 protease (also referred to herein as “serine protease”) encoded by Hepatitis C virus (HCV), compositions comprising such compounds, and methods for inhibiting the function of the NS3 protease.
Abstract:
Hepatitis C virus inhibitors are disclosed having the general formula: wherein R1, R2, R3, R′, B, Y and X are described in the description. Compositions comprising the compounds and methods for using the compounds to inhibit HCV are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Macrocyclic isoquinoline peptides are disclosed having the general formula: A compound of formula I: wherein R1 to R9, Q and W are described in the description. Compositions comprising the compounds and methods for using the compounds to inhibit HCV are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An improved color picture tube includes a shadow mask which has a rectangular periphery with two long sides and two short sides. The mask has a major axis, which passes through the center of the mask and parallels the long sides, and a minor axis, which passes through the center of the mask and parallels the short sides. The mask includes slit-shaped apertures aligned in columns that essentially parallel the minor axis. Adjacent apertures in each column are separated by tie bars in the mask. The widths of the tie bars are graded in dimension. The grading is at least partially related to the amount of tie bar stretch occurring in a similar size mask having different tie bar widths.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an improvement in color picture tubes having slit type apertured shadow masks wherein the aperture throats are arranged in columns, and the apertures within each column are separated by webs. The improvement comprises the aperture throat columns passing through a center portion of the mask being substantially straight, and the aperture throat columns on both sides of the center portion of the mask being convexly curved toward the center portion and increasing in curvature with distance from the center portion.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for separating magnetically susceptible particles from a mixture of magnetically susceptible particles and non-magnetic or less magnetically susceptible particles in which a stream containing the mixture in a fluidized condition is introduced under pressure or under gravity into one end of an arcuate separation channel having an inlet end and an outlet end and arcuate inner and outer walls and at least one connecting wall which confine the steam and constrain it to flow in a single unidirectional arcuate path along the channel in frictional contact with the inner and outer walls and with the connecting wall, the velocity of the stream and the frictional resistance to flow being such that the stream is subject to sufficient centrifugal force as it flows around the channel that there is produced in the channel a secondary circulation radially outwardly within the body of the stream and then radially inwardly, in which the stream during its passage around the channel is subjected to a radial magnetic field gradient so that the magnetic force and the secondary circulation cooperate to cause the magnetically susceptible particles to gravitate toward the magnet while moving through the channel, and in which the magnetically susceptible particles are removed from that radial side of the arcuate channel which is adjacent the magnet while the non-magnetic or less magnetically susceptible particles are removed from that radial side which is remote from the magnet.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to tripeptide compounds, compositions and methods for the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. In particular, the present invention provides novel tripeptide analogs, pharmaceutical compositions containing such analogs and methods for using these analogs in the treatment of HCV infection.
