摘要: A metal-infused liquid glass product or coating and a method for safely picking up glass shards from a surface. The invention provides a clear metal-infused liquid stored in an aerosol can, designed for easy application on a glass surface or onto glass shards. The liquid is sprayed onto the glass surface or glass shards using a nozzle, adheres to the surface, and dries within a specific time period. Once dried, the liquid forms a transparent coating on the glass, enabling for unobstructed visibility. The liquid contains micro metallic particles that impart magnetic properties to the glass shards, making them easily attractable with a conventional magnet. The magnet can be used for attracting and picking up glass shards without using any other device. The invention simplifies the process of collecting and removing glass shards, thereby providing enhanced safety and convenience.

摘要: A tramp metal removing device has a primary housing to define a product flow path for being passed by a stream of raw materials and a moving path. A secondary housing is connected to the primary housing. A plurality of drawer units are sequentially stacked on the primary housing and secondary housing. Each drawer unit has a frame, a plurality of magnetic members and a scraping assembly. The frame is coupled with the primary and secondary housings in a movable way. Each of magnetic members is secured on the frame and has a magnetic section and a non-magnetic section. The scraping assembly is coupled with the frame in a way that it is only moveable in the secondary housing for removing tramp metals of a stream of raw materials in a two-stage manner.

摘要: Methods are provided for separating magnetically responsive beads from a droplet in a droplet actuator. Droplet operations electrodes and a magnet are arranged in a droplet actuator to manipulate a bead-containing droplet and position it relative to a magnetic field region that attracts the magnetically responsive beads. The droplet operations electrodes are operated to control the droplet shape and transport it away from the magnetic field region to form a concentration of beads in the droplet. The continued transport of the droplet away from the magnetic field causes the concentration of beads to break away from the droplet to yield a small, concentrated bead-containing droplet immobilized by the magnet.

摘要: A gravity-fed filtration system interconnection structure comprising a reservoir for receiving ingress fluid, the reservoir having a bottom surface with a recess for receiving a filter cartridge body, and an opening for filtered fluid egress to a second, dispensing reservoir. A carrier or shuttle having a magnet disposed within or connected to the carrier is adjacent to the reservoir recess and connected to a sluice gate valve which normally blocks the opening to the second reservoir. The interconnection structure further includes a filter cartridge having a housing body, and a filter magnet disposed within or fixedly connected to the housing body. The carrier is normally biased in a first position, such as a closed position, and is moveable between the first position and a second (open) position, and the filter magnet and the carrier magnet are interconnected via magnetic communication upon insertion of the filter cartridge into the reservoir recess, such that upon relative movement of the filter magnet and carrier magnet into an alignment position, the carrier moves to the second position as a result of the magnetic communication. In one embodiment, the carrier translates axially upwards within a channel in the reservoir recess wall as a result of the magnet communication. In another embodiment, the carrier shifts radially in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the filter cartridge body. In still another embodiment, the carrier rotates about the longitudinal axis of the filter cartridge. The filter magnet polarity transitions are aligned with the carrier magnet polarity transitions such that a shear force or rotational force is generated between the magnets when the filter cartridge is inserted within the reservoir recess, causing the carrier to move from the first position to the second position.

摘要: A system and method for creating and collecting magnetic microplastics effectively combines magnetic material with plastics during their manufacture, thereby producing microplastics that can be easily collected via removal devices equipped with magnetic components. Magnetic particles are mixed with plastic/rubber resins during manufacturing of tires, roofing materials, and other plastic items. The magnetic particles can be made from natural or artificial magnets. After mixing, the partially-magnetic rubber/plastic result can be applied to areas of the manufactured plastic item that have the highest propensity to degrade into microplastic pollutants. For example, the thread of a tire, where friction with the road causes most of the wear, is an optimal location for integration of magnetic particles. When the plastics break down into microplastics, the microplastics can then be collected with magnets. The collected microplastics can then be removed from the magnetic collectors during routine maintenance and subsequently recycled safely.

摘要: A device and a method for isolating a target from a biological sample are provided. The target is bound to solid phase substrate to form target bound solid phase substrate. The device includes a lower plate with an upper surface having a plurality of regions. The biological sample is receivable on a first of the regions. An upper plate has a lower surface directed to the upper surface of the lower plate. A force is positioned adjacent the upper plate and attracts the target bound solid phase substrate toward the lower surface of the upper plate. At least one of the upper plate and the lower plate is movable from a first position wherein the target bound solid phase substrate in the biological sample are drawn to the lower surface of the upper plate and a second position wherein the target bound solid phase substrate are isolated from the biological sample.

摘要: An electromagnetic valve for a hydraulic system for an automatic transmission of a vehicle. An armature chamber is filled with hydraulic medium and fluidically connected to hydraulic lines of the hydraulic system. An armature is mounted in the armature chamber such that its stroke is adjustable. The armature includes a shut-off body and divides the armature chamber into an opening-side chamber facing the flow opening and into an inner chamber facing away from the flow opening. During a stroke of the armature, an oil exchange occurs, and a displacement volume of the hydraulic medium overflows from the opening-side chamber into the inner chamber. A hydraulic line leading to the opening-side chamber or to the inner chamber of the armature chamber includes a dirt collecting element that is designed as a permanent magnet and that retains contaminations in the hydraulic medium that flows through the hydraulic line during an oil exchange.

摘要: An apparatus for manipulating magnetic particles includes a latch mechanism. The latch mechanism has a pivoting part provided on a door and an engaging part provided on a main body. In the apparatus for manipulating magnetic particles, a first contact portion of a latch engages with the engaging part at a contact point in a state that the door is closed. The contact point is located more outside of the main body than the pivot axis. Accordingly, in a case where an external force is applied to the door in a direction to open the door in a state that the door is closed, a force is applied from the engaging part to the first contact portion, thereby generating a rotational force in a C direction to the pivoting part. As a result, in the state that the door is closed, it is possible to suppress the door from being opened without a manipulation by the user.
