    摘要： A system that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method for detecting a plurality of use cases of a communication device, determining an initial tuning state for each of a plurality of tuning algorithms according to the plurality of use cases, configuring each of the plurality of tuning algorithms according to their respective initial tuning state, executing a first tuning algorithm of the plurality of tuning algorithms according to an order of execution of the plurality of tuning algorithms, detecting a stability condition of the first tuning algorithm, and executing a second tuning algorithm of the plurality of tuning algorithms responsive to the detected stability condition of the first tuning algorithm. Each tuning algorithms can control one of a tunable reactive element, a control interface, or both of one of a plurality of circuit components of a radio frequency circuit. Other embodiments are disclosed.

    摘要： In a method of and apparatus for manufacturing a filtering screen, a frame of plastics coated metal or reinforced plastics material is located in a jig and at least two sheets of wire cloths are placed over the frame and their edges gripped by pneumatically operated clamps carried by the jig. The clamps are pneumatically driven outwardly of the frame to tension each cloth in orthogonal directions. The tensioned cloths are pressed against the frame and heated in order to bond the cloths to the frame. The heated material is allowed to cool, and after completion of the bonding step the clamps a released, allowing the frame to be removed from the jig. Where necessary the cloths are trimmed back to the edges of the frame. A separate set of pneumatically operated clamps may be provided for gripping all four edges of each wire cloth layer to allow each layer to be individually tensioned.

    摘要： A method is described for making a reinforcing wire frame for embedding in a moulded polymer support frame over which woven wire cloth is to be stretched and secured to form a sifting screen. The method involves locating lengths of cut wire substantially equally spaced apart in a jig to form a first array. A second array of lengths of cut wire is located over the first array with the lengths of wire in the second array being substantially at right angles to those of the first array. The lengths of wire in the first and second arrays are resistance welded at points of mutual intersection so as to form a first substantially rectilinear matrix. Lengths of cut wire are located in a jig to form a third array, in which the lengths are also substantially equally spaced apart, and a fourth array of lengths of cut wire is arranged over the third array with the lengths of the fourth array substantially at right angles to the lengths of wire of the third array, and the wires of the third and fourth arrays are also resistance welded at points of mutual intersection to form a second substantially rectilinear matrix.
