    摘要: Methods, apparatus and systems that relate to a portable chromatic light microscope are described. One example chromatic light microscope includes a light source including light producing elements that produce non-monochromatic output light that can be modulated. The chromatic light microscope further includes an illumination subsection to receive light that is output from the light source. The illumination subsection includes one or more lenses to spatially disperse spectral contents of the light that is received by the illumination subsection and to deliver light having chromatic aberration to a target object. The chromatic light microscope also includes an imaging subsection that includes one or more lenses to receive scattered light from the target object and to deliver the same to a sensor, and a linear variable filter to selectively pass a portion of the light having a particular spectral range of wavelengths to the sensor.

    摘要: Methods and frameworks for designing and optimizing of high-performance light field displays, such as integral imaging head-mounted displays, are disclosed. The disclosed techniques enable user-defined metrics for characterizing the performance and optimization of such systems. One design method relates to an integral-imaging based three-dimensional (3D) display system that includes an arrayed optics, an arrayed display device to produce a plurality of elemental images, a first reference plane representing a virtual central depth plane (CDP), a second reference plane representing a viewing window for viewing a reconstructed 3D scene, and an optical subsection representing a model of a human eye. The method includes tracing rays starting at the arrayed display device, through the arrayed optics, and to the optical subsection for each element of the arrayed display device and arrayed optics, and adjusting one or more parameters to obtain at least a first metric value within a predetermined value.

    摘要: A light projection system includes an angle-dependent pattern projection device projecting light of multiple patterns into corresponding multiple directions, and a waveguide comprising an input and an output, configured to accept the light from the angle-dependent pattern projection device and emit the light through the output, whereby the light from each of the multiple patterns takes a unique path through the waveguide. The waveguide is built into a headset display device, and the output of the waveguide couples light emitted through the output to an eye.
