摘要： An apparatus and method of controlling the temperature of an image fixing unit having a developer fixed on a recording medium under a predetermined temperature in an image forming apparatus is provided. The temperature of the image fixing unit is set to one of a plurality of different temperatures stored in a controller of the image forming apparatus depending on an printing operation status of the image forming apparatus. The image fixing unit is heated and warmed-up to a predetermined ready temperature. If a print command is not received until the warm-up is completed, the ready temperature is maintained. The printing operation starts upon completion of the warm-up if the print command is received before the warm-up is completed. The temperature of the image fixing unit for the printing operation is set to a normal temperature during printing a first sheet, and the temperature of the image fixing unit for the printing operation of a second sheet of paper is set to a higher temperature higher than the normal temperature. If the print command is received while the ready temperature is maintained after the warm-up, the printing operation is performed with a lower temperature lower than the normal image fixing temperature.

The fusing apparatus includes a separation member that is rotatably mounted on a rotation axis to separate the printing medium from one of a heating roller and a pressing roller. The separation member includes a hollow portion into which the rotation axis is inserted, and a separation portion that contacts an outer circumference of the heating roller. The separation member is installed so as to be pitched around the rotation axis and a pitching axis having an inclination angle within a range of ±10° with respect to a line that connects a contact point between the separation portion and the outer circumference of the roller from which the printing medium is to be separated and a center of the roller from which the printing medium is to be separated.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for inhibiting the induction of cell death by inhibiting the synthesis or secretion of AGE-albumin in cells of the mononuclear phagocyte system, to an AGE-albumin synthesis inhibitor, and to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the AGE-albumin synthesis inhibitor for preventing or treating degenerative disease and autoimmune disease. The AGE-albumin of the present invention is synthesized and secreted in human microglia or human macrophages in an Alzheimer's model, stroke model, Parkinson's disease model and rheumatoid arthritis model. The AGE-albumin synthesis and secretion are caused by oxidative stress. The expression of RAGE increases in first-order human neurons or cartilage cells to which AGE-albumin is administered, whereupon a MAPK signaling pathway is activated and the expression of Bax increases to induce an increase in calcium in mitochondria, thus finally inducing cell death.
