Abstract:
An injection device (1) with an End-of-Content mechanism. The End-of-Content mechanism comprises a track (91) and a track follower each coupled directly or indirectly to the housing and the dose setting member (20) . When setting a dose, the housing and the dose setting member is rotated relatively to each other thereby also rotating the track-follower in the track a distance corresponding to the size of the set dose. This relative rotation is summarized and stored in the position of the track follower in the track. The housing containing the mechanism is preferably equipped with a transparent (71) area through which a user can inspect the position of the track follower in the track and thereby get a visible warning when the drug reservoir in the injection device is about to be emptied.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an injection device comprising a torsion spring operatively connected to a dose setting member being adapted to set a dose to be ejected from the injection device. A rotatably mounted display member adapted to display the dose to be ejected in accordance with a setting of the dose setting member is also provided. The rotatably mounted display member is adapted to be rotated over an angle corresponding to at least one revolution of the display member. The display member may be implemented as a dose indicator barrel having numerals arranged along a helical path on an outer surface thereof, or alternatively, as a counting device having two or more display wheels having numerals arranged on an outer surface thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an injection device (1, 100) configured to perform automatic priming upon removal of a protective cap (15, 115) from a cap receiving portion (9, 109) of a housing (2, 102). When mounted on the injection device (1, 100) the cap (15, 115) defines a first position for a drive member (10, 110) relative to the housing (2, 102), which drive member (10, 110) is capable of causing a piston rod (7, 107) to advance a piston (8, 108) in a reservoir (4, 104). Means (13, 120) are provided defining a second position for the drive member (10, 110) relative to the housing (2, 102). During removal of the cap (15, 115) from the cap receiving portion (9, 109) the drive member (10, 110) moves from the first position to the second position under the influence of a spring (11, 111), thereby causing the piston rod (7, 107) to pressurise the reservoir (4, 104).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an injection device comprising a housing, a resilient member adapted to provide a force in the axial direction of the injection device for ejecting a dose from the injection device. The injection device further comprises a dose setting member operatively connected to a dose indicator barrel positioned within the housing, the dose setting member and the dose indicator barrel being movable relative to each other and cooperating to set the dose to be ejected from the injection device. The dose indicator barrel undergoes, during dose setting, a combined rotational and translational movement within the housing and relative to the housing.
Abstract:
A mechanical injection device (1) for injecting apportioned doses of liquid drug. The injection device (1) comprises a dose setting means, an injection means, a removable cap (15) and a cap receiving part (9) adapted to abut or engage with the cap (15) when the cap (15) is mounted on the injection device (1). The dose setting means is operatively coupled to the cap receiving part (9) in such a manner that mounting and/or dismounting of the cap (15) on/from the injection device (1) causes the dose setting means to set a dose. Thereby a correct dose of drug is automatically set during a cap on/cap off cycle. Since such a cycle is normally performed between two subsequent injections, the number of steps required to be performed by the user is reduced.
Abstract:
A mechanism for preventing setting of a dose, which exceeds the amount of a medicament in a reservoir in an injection device. The device comprises a threaded piston rod, a limiter and a driver. The three elements are arranged such that during dose setting, the limiter is moved towards an end-of-contend position, wherein dose setting is limited. The invention comprises an accumulative and a non-accumulative embodiment. The invention further relates to a mechanism for prevention ejection of a dose exceeding the set dose.

Abstract:
A syringe device for ejecting a dose of a medicament, the syringe device comprising: a dose limiting mechanism arranged to interact with a dose ejecting mechanism to prevent ejection of a dose exceeding a set dose, and a safety mechanism, which is arranged such with respect to the dose ejecting mechanism that, if the dose limiting mechanism fails, the safety mechanism prevents ejection of a dose exceeding the set dose.
