Abstract: A method for analyzing a real dental situation of a patient. The method includes steps, as follows, in succession. At an updated instant, acquisition of an updated image representing a real dental scene as observed by an operator. Determination of a virtual dental scene as a function of the representation of the real dental scene on the updated image. Presentation of the virtual dental scene in transparent mode and overlaid on the real dental scene, or display of the updated image on a screen and presentation of the virtual dental scene overlaid with the representation of the real dental scene on the updated image displayed on the screen, in transparent mode or not on the representation.

Abstract: A method of correction of a three-dimensional digital model of an arch of a patient or “reference model.” The method includes the following steps: acquisition of at least one two-dimensional image of the arch, called updated image (Ia1;Ia2), in actual acquisition conditions; search, for each updated image, of virtual acquisition conditions providing a two-dimensional image of the reference model, which maximizes the fit with the updated image, or “reference image” (Ir1;Ir2); comparison of the reference image with the updated image to detect differences; and correction of the reference model to reduce said differences to get a corrected reference model.

Abstract: A method for predicting a future dental situation for a patient. Acquiring historical data including at least: previous time point and context parameter values. Acquiring at a time point all the data related to the current dental situation, including at least: the current time point, context parameter values at the current time point, statistical analysis of the historical data and the current data, so as to predict, at a future time point, at least one future dental situation for the current patient. Depending on the future dental situation, (re)evaluation of the benefit of an orthodontic treatment. Steps may include creating a three-dimensional digital reference model, acquiring at least one two-dimensional image, analysing each updated image and creation, searching, for each updated image, and collecting data relative to the updated reference model and relative to the orthodontic appliance.

Abstract: A method including an acquisition, with an acquisition apparatus, of at least one two-dimensional mage of arches of a patient, called “updated image”, in actual acquisition conditions, a separator separating lips of the patient in order to improve the visibility of patient's teeth, said separator including a register mark, wherein the representation of the register mark on the updated image is used to recut the updated image and/or to roughly assess the actual acquisition conditions and/or to guide the positioning of the acquisition apparatus at the moment of the acquisition of the updated image and/or to identify a dental situation and/or an action to be achieved by the acquisition apparatus.

Abstract: A method for evaluating the shape of an orthodontic aligner worn by a patient. Acquisition of at least one two-dimensional image of teeth of the patient as “updated image.” At least one updated image as “aligner image,” at least partially representing the aligner in a service position. At least one updated image as “dentition image,” representing the teeth. If the dentition image is different from the aligner image, conversion of the dentition image so that it represents the teeth as seen under the acquisition conditions used during the acquisition of the aligner image. Determination, for each of a plurality of teeth represented on the dentition and aligner images, of interior and exterior tooth outlines representing the outline of the free end of the tooth on the dentition and aligner images. Comparison of the interior and exterior tooth outlines, followed by determination of at least one score according to the comparison.

Abstract: A method for monitoring a property of the appearance of the teeth of a patient, said method including: A) acquiring, by means of a first acquisition apparatus, at least one first two-dimensional image of said teeth and of a first reference gauge, referred to as “initial image”; B) acquiring, by means of a second acquisition apparatus, at least one second two-dimensional image of said teeth and of a second reference gauge having the same appearance as the first reference gauge, referred to as “updated image”; C) standardising the initial and updated images such that the representations of the first and second reference gauges on the standardised initial and updated images have the same appearance; D) before or after step C, marking the same region of the teeth on the initial and updated images; and E) comparing the appearance of said region in the standardised initial and updated images.

Abstract: A method for analyzing a photo to be analyzed representing a dental scene to be analyzed. Submission, to the trained second neural network, of the photo to be analyzed, so as to obtain a descriptor of the photo. The second neural network being trained via a historical learning base including more than 1000 created historical records added in the historical learning base. The historical record including a final image and of a created descriptor of the final image called “final descriptor.” The final image representing, hyper-realistically, the source dental scene after a simulation of a dental event, and being obtained by submitting, a source photo representing a source dental scene in a dental context, to a first neural network trained to transform first photos of first dental scenes into first hyper-realistic images to simulate the effect of a dental event on the first dental scenes.

Abstract: A method for evaluating an orthodontic appliance. Acquisition of a two-dimensional “appliance image” of teeth at least partially representing the orthodontic appliance in a service position. Acquisition of a two-dimensional “dentition image” of the teeth. If a determination of comparable dental and appliance attributes is not possible from the appliance image and from the dentition image, respectively, conversion of the appliance image and/or of the dentition image so that the appliance image be compatible with the dentition image. Determination of dental and appliance attributes relative to the shape of the tooth represented on the dentition image and relative to the shape of the orthodontic appliance on the appliance image. Comparison of the dental and appliance attributes, followed by determination of at least one score. At least one image is acquired with a mobile phone.
