摘要: A method for preparing a tooth crown may include generating a 3D model of an external surface of a patient's tooth and generating a 3D model of an external surface of a first crown based on the 3D model of the external surface of the patient's tooth. The method may also include preparing the patient's tooth to receive the first crown while generating the 3D model of the external surface. A 3D model of the prepared tooth my be generated. A 3D model of an internal surface of the first crown may also be generated. The 3D model of the external surface and the 3D model of the internal surface may form a 3D model of the first crown.

摘要: A system for accounting for changes in surface topology may include an intraoral scanner and a computer system comprising instructions that, when executed, causes the computer system to: receive initial scan data of a first surface portion of tissue and a second surface portion of tissue, the scan data of the first surface portion of tissue having a first surface topology, generate a demarcation between the first surface portion and the second surface portion, receive rescan data of an intraoral cavity of the patient that includes surface data of the first surface portion of tissue having a second surface topology, update the data of the first surface portion of tissue by modifying only at least a portion of the data according to the demarcation using at least a portion of the rescan data, and output a 3D model of the patient's teeth based on the updated data.

摘要: An apparatus may include one or more manifolds, each including a shell having an inner portion and an outer portion. Each shell may have a first set of outlets in a first wall and a second set of outlets in a second wall that approximately faces the first wall. Each manifold is shaped to accommodate a tooth. A rotating inlet joint, having an inlet channel and a rotating joint, may enable fluid flow into each manifold from the inlet channel at any angle relative to an axis of rotation defined by the rotating joint. In each manifold, the first set of outlets and the second set of outlets are oriented towards a tooth and/or gums associated with the tooth. The inner portion and the outer portion of each shell cooperate to direct fluid flow substantially horizontal to, and then substantially perpendicular to, the fluid flow exiting the inlet channel.
