    Abstract: A warning device for use with a computerised warning system, the warning device including: a securement mechanism configured for arrangement between at least one of a secured configuration wherein the securement mechanism is configured to secure the warning device to a person's body, or to an item of clothing or accessory worn or carried on the person's body, and, an unsecured configuration wherein the securement mechanism is configured to allow release of the warning device from securement to the person's body, or to the item of clothing or accessory worn or carried on the person's body; a sensor module configured for sensing when the securement mechanism has been arranged in to the unsecured configuration, and, for sensing at least one type of interaction with the warning device when the securement mechanism has been arranged in the unsecured configuration; and a communication module communicably-connected with a computer server of the computerised system and configured for communicating information to the computer server indicative of the securement mechanism being arranged in to the unsecured configuration and indicative of the at least one type of interaction with the warning device that is sensed by the sensor module, and whereby in response to receiving the information form the communication module, the computer server is configured for communicating a predetermined warning message corresponding to the received information.

    Abstract: A touch control human-machine interface for use in controlling operation of a machine, said interface including: an interface housing; a cover plate disposed on an outer-surface of the housing, said cover plate having a first electrically-conductive portion configured for touch interaction by a user's finger; a circuit assembly disposed within the housing, said circuit assembly including a circuit board having a second electrically-conductive portion and a light illumination module operably-connected thereto; a spacer element disposed between and separating the first conductive portion from the second conductive portion such that the first conductive portion, the second conductive portion and the spacer element are configured to form a capacitor device that is operably-connected with the circuit assembly; said first electrically-conductive portion being configured for deformation by the user's finger so as to cause a change in capacitance across the capacitor device, and whereby responsive to said change in capacitance, the circuit assembly is configured for generating a control signal for controlling operation of the machine, and, for controlling the light illumination module to propagate a light emission from the circuit assembly through the housing and cover plate so as to be visible externally of the housing.

    Abstract: A control assembly for use in controlling a speed of operation of an electric device, the control assembly including: a control assembly housing; a magnetic sensor; a magnetic element; an actuator that is configured for movement relative to the control assembly housing wherein responsive to said movement of the actuator relative to the control assembly housing, the magnetic sensor and magnetic element move relative to each other between at least one of a first position and a second position such that the magnetic sensor senses a first magnetic field reading when in the first position and senses a second magnetic field reading when in the second position; and, a control module operably connected to the magnetic sensor and configured for controlling the electric device to operate in at least one of a first speed and a second speed by reference to an output of the magnetic sensor indicative of the sensed first magnetic field reading and the second magnetic field reading respectively.

    Abstract: An electrical switch unit for use in an electrical device to control flow of electrical current therethrough from a power source to power the electrical device, the electrical switch unit comprising: a fixed electrical contact and a movable electrical contact, said movable electrical contact being configured for movement relative to the fixed electrical contact between an ON position in which the movable electrical contact is in contact with the fixed electrical contact wherein electrical current is able to flow from the power source therethrough to power the electrical device, and, an OFF position in which the movable electrical contact is out of contact with the fixed electrical contact wherein electrical current from the power source is not able to flow from the power source therethrough to power the electrical device; a contact mover movably coupled to a terminal member, the contact mover being configured for movement relative to the terminal member so as to move the movable electrical contact between the ON position and the OFF position; and a biasing member coupling the contact mover and the terminal member together such that said biasing member is configured to act upon the contact mover as the contact mover moves the movable electrical contact relative to the fixed electrical contact between the ON position and the OFF position; wherein when the movable electrical contact is arranged in the ON position, electrical current is able to flow along an electrical current path comprising the terminal member, the contact mover and the movable electrical contact in series, and, wherein an electrical insulation member is arranged in series with the biasing member between the contact mover and the terminal member whereby said electrical insulation member electrically insulates the biasing member from electrical current flow therethrough when the movable electrical contact is arranged in the ON position.

    Abstract: An electrical switch unit for use with a variable speed electrical device includes a housing for a pair of electrical switching contacts, and an actuator operably connected with one of those contacts. A signaling module is associated with the electrical switch unit, and has signaling circuitry for sensing the movement of the actuator and outputting a signaling module signal indicative of the sensed movement or position of the actuator. A power module with a power switching device controllably supplies power from the DC power source to the DC motor at a speed corresponding to the sensed movement or position of the actuator. A control module receives the signaling module signal, and outputs a control module signal to control the power module.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a rotary bridge micro-switch. The rotary bridge micro-switch comprises an insulating base, wherein a first terminal, a second terminal and a third terminal are arranged on the insulating base and are spaced from one another by the insulating base; and the insulating base is rotatably connected to a conducting plate having one end abutting against the first terminal. The rotary bridge micro-switch further comprises a spring having two ends respectively connected to the other end of the conducting plate and the insulating base. When the spring is not compressed, the first terminal is connected to the second terminal through the other end of the conducting plate. When the spring is compressed, the first terminal is connected to the third terminal. The rotary bridge micro-switch can be pressed to realize switching between two circuits.
