Abstract:
A round-bale press for stalk-shaped crops has a pick-up and a press space which, on its circumference, is limited downwards by a rearwardly conveying ground arrangement, rearwards by the upwardly travelling front strand of a press-band arrangement, and forwards by a downwardly travelling movable wall arrangement. A transverse roller is provided which is movable and by which the front strand can be pressed forwards at the start of formation of a bale.
Abstract:
A method of producing bales of agricultural products includes wrapping a bale with a wrapping material, discharging the fully wrapped bale from the press, and forming a new bale, with an intermediate storage of the product in the press retained as short as possible by overlapping of some of the method steps, so that the time required from the beginning of wrapping of a finished bale to the beginning of forming a new bale is very short.
Abstract:
A large baling press has a pressing chamber peripherally limited by driven winding elements which simultaneously form an inlet opening, and a product supply passage which is limited from below by a prong drum unit and from above by a holding down rack, wherein the rack is oscillatingly moveable in a traveling or product flowing direction.
Abstract:
In a baler wherein material to be baled is displaced along a path past a plurality of needles into a baling chamber and wherein tying mechanism periodically displaces the needles in a predetermined direction across the path, a pair of shields are provided flanking each of the needles and displaceable in the same direction as the needles by links connected to the tying mechanism so as to force a way through material in the passage for the needles and thereby prevent bending of these needles. The shields are formed as circle segments pivotal about an axis immediately below the path and below the axis about which the needles are pivoted.
