摘要: Embodiments of the invention reduce the TPR (thermal protrusion phenomenon) of a perpendicular magnetic write head caused by a coil current and a static temperature. In one embodiment, SiO2 having a low coefficient of thermal expansion and high workability is used as a coil insulator. SiO2 is arranged at a position away from the air bearing surface and the air bearing surface is made of alumina, making slider processing easy.
