    摘要： A clamp is placed over the bridge of the nose to apply pressure over the fossa of the nasolacrimal sac, prior to ocular medication to thereby seal the nasolacrimal sac and prevent drainage of medicament away from the eye. The clamp can be embedded in a flexible molded positioning device which has been molded to fit the shape of the bridge of the nose. In an improved embodiment the embedded clamp in a flexible molded positioning device is attached to a modified eyeglass frame. In a further embodiment a band to go around the back of the head or around the ears can be attached to the clamp.

    摘要： Compositions, medicaments, and methods for the promotion of hair growth are disclosed. These compositions and medicaments are comprised of either local anesthetics of the secondary or tertiary amino type or niacin. The preferred secondary and tertiary amino compounds include those which are esters of para-aminobenzoic acid, esters of benzoic acid, esters of meta-amino benzoic acid, amides, ethers, and ketones. The preferred compositions and medicaments include either procaine hydrochloride or niacin or procaine hydrochloride and niacin in a non-sulfur-containing carrier. The disclosed compositions and medicaments may be topically applied to a scalp in need thereof by an eyedropper or other suitable means. An improved embodiment of this application adds minoxidil.

    摘要： A method of treating a patient having one or more warts includes the steps of: applying to the wart an amount of a composition consisting essentially of an anthralin active ingredient and a pharmaceutical carrier; covering the wart and skin areas peripheral to the wart with an adhesive tape, such that the adhesive tape adheres to peripheral skin areas, whereby the adhesive tape provides an occluding environment for the wart treated with the composition. The occluding environment is maintained for a desired period of time, and the adhesive tape is removed. For a number of times as desired, a fresh amount of anthralin-containing composition is applied, and a fresh piece of adhesive tape is applied to recreate the occluding environment.

    摘要： A method and composition for topically treating acne and acneiform dermal disorders includes applying an amount of a cephalosporin antibiotic effective to treat the acne and acneiform dermal disorders. The antibiotic is blended with a carrier suitable for topical application to dermal tissues. The carrier is selected from the group consisting of an aqueous liquid, an alcohol base, a water soluble gel, a lotion, an ointment, a nonaqueous liquid base, a mineral oil base, a blend of mineral oil and petrolatum, liposomes, a time-release patch, and a liquid-absorbed wipe. The cephalosporin can also be combined with benzoyl peroxide in a gel carrier.
