Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to lenses, devices, methods and/or systems for addressing refractive error. Certain embodiments are directed to changing or controlling the wavefront of the light entering a human eye. The lenses, devices, methods and/or systems can be used for correcting, addressing, mitigating or treating refractive errors and provide excellent vision at distances encompassing far to near without significant ghosting. The refractive error may for example arise from myopia, hyperopia, or presbyopia with or without astigmatism. Certain disclosed embodiments of lenses, devices and/or methods include embodiments that address foveal and/or peripheral vision. Exemplary of lenses in the fields of certain embodiments include contact lenses, corneal onlays, corneal inlays, and lenses for intraocular devices both anterior and posterior chamber, accommodating intraocular lenses, electro-active spectacle lenses and/or refractive surgery.

Abstract: Disclosed in the present disclosure is an eyeglass lens for preventing and controlling myopia. The eyeglass lens includes a lens body, the lens body includes a first area, a second area, and third areas, the first area is a regular area formed with an optical centre of the lens body as a centre, the first area has a refractive power with a myopia correction function, the second area is a peripheral area of the lens body, and the second area is used for focusing an image on a position in front of a retina of an eye, to inhibit myopia development of the eye. The present disclosure has a simple structure and rational design, when a patient views an object with the eyeglass lens for preventing and controlling myopia, an image is formed on the retina, meanwhile, an image is formed in front of the retina, and a contrast of imaging at the periphery of the retina is reduced, such that the eyeglass lens has a function of inhibiting or at least slowing down development of myopia of a human eye, and a machining cost can be effectively controlled, to facilitate promotion and popularization of vision protective lenses.

Abstract: A system comprises an eyewear device that includes a frame, a temple connected to a lateral side of the frame, a fingerprint sensor, and a sensing circuit. The fingerprint sensor includes an input surface to receive input of a finger skin surface. The sensing circuit is configured to track a pattern of fingerprint ridges of the finger skin surface on the input surface. Execution of programming by a processor configures the system to perform functions to track, via the sensing circuit, the pattern of fingerprint ridges of the finger skin surface on the input surface; generate a fingerprint image having the tracked pattern of fingerprint ridges; extract fingerprint features from the fingerprint image; and authorize the user to utilize the eyewear device based on the extracted fingerprint features.
