Abstract:
A baler is equipped with a crop re-hydration system including a steam injection manifold mounted for discharging steam onto a windrow of crop as the windrow is being fed into the baler. The steam injection manifold has a steam discharge orifice arrangement which can be adjusted to vary the discharge width. A flexible duct guides discharged steam to the crop windrow.
Abstract:
In a memory system, multiple memory modules communicate over a bus. Each memory module includes a hub and at least one memory storage unit. The hub receives local data from the memory storage units, and downstream data from one or more other memory modules. The hub assembles data to be sent over the bus within a data block structure, which is divided into multiple lanes. An indication is made of where, within the data block structure, a breakpoint will occur in the data being placed on the bus by a first source (e.g., the local or downstream data). Based on the indication, data from a second source (e.g., the downstream or local data) is placed in the remainder of the data block, thus reducing gaps on the bus.
Abstract:
A vacuum-strength measurement device is utilized to determine vacuum producer system performance specifications and system parameters. A flow ability factor can be determined that represents the effect of system piping and usage area equipment on performance. With the flow ability factor, a vacuum strength requirement can be determined to effect a target vacuum performance. For system design, design parameters can be established based on a relationship between a desired flow ability factor and an amount of vacuum strength required to match target vacuum performance.
Abstract:
Systems and methods, for providing distributed configuration storage are presented. The configuration storage is divided into distributed configuration target modules that are physically located in each design section of a device that uses configuration storage. A distributed configuration master module, physically located near the host interface, controls access into and out of each target module via a distributed configuration bus. The creation of each storage array in the distributed configuration storage can be automated using a scripting tool that converts each register specification into hardware description language code.
Abstract:
A refrigerant pump system wherein the outdoor coil is larger than the indoor coil to provide for efficient operation when the system is in a cooling mode. A refrigerant reservoir is mounted in a refrigerant line that connects the two coils during a heating mode which is arranged to collect liquid refrigerant, thus preventing the outdoor coil from becoming overcharged with refrigerant during the heating process. Efficient operation of the system is thus maintained during both heating and cooling without the need for expensive equipment to regulate the flow of refrigerant between the heat exchanger coils.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented for sharing the results of computing operations among related computing systems may include: 1) identifying a need to perform a computing operation on a file, 2) identifying a unique identifier associated with the file, 3) determining, by using the unique identifier to query a shared store that is shared by a group of related computing systems, that at least one computing system within the group of related computing systems has previously performed the computing operation on an instance of the file, and then 4) retrieving the results of the computing operation from the shared store instead of performing the computing operation. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract:
A memory hub includes a local queue that stores local memory responses, a bypass path that passes downstream memory responses, and a buffered queue coupled to the bypass path that stores downstream memory responses from the bypass path. A multiplexer is coupled to the local queue, buffered queue, and the bypass path and outputs responses from a selected one of the queues or the bypass path responsive to a control signal. Arbitration control logic is coupled to the multiplexer and the queues and develops the control signal to control the response output by the multiplexer.
Abstract:
A sequencing valve and associated hydronic system are provided. The valve has first and second ports, which can be connected to a heat exchange device, and the valve is configured to selectively provide multiple fluids to the heat exchange device. For example, the valve can selectively connect hot and cold water supplies to the heat exchanger so that the heat exchanger can be used alternately to heat and cool air for a refrigeration system. The valve can include check valves that are adjusted by rotatable cams for controlling the flow of fluids into and out of the ports. Each cam can be mounted on a rotatable shaft so that the cams rotate to adjust the check valves between open and closed positions.
