Abstract:
A housing contains a battery-operated alarm and a spring clip to hold a billfold to the housing. A plate is removably attached to the housing and functions to hold open a switch in the alarm's circuit. If a thief attempts to steal the billfold, the housing is separated from the plate, allowing the switch to close and sound the alarm. A control lever allows the owner to release the billfold when he wishes to remove it from the spring clip.
Abstract:
This invention relates to immunogenic compositions capable of potentiality growth hormone activity, comprising an immunologically effective amount of a composite peptide comprising at least two non-contiguous somatotropin epitope amino acid sequences, wherein said composite peptide is substantially free of receptor binding domain sequences; and an immunologically acceptable excipient. The invention further relates to methods of using an immunogenic composition of the invention to potentiate the action of growth hormone in pigs.
Abstract:
A surgical mask provides a wide range of wearers with a good fit and improved comfort, facilitates proper use of the mask, and reduces or eliminates fogging of eyewear, as compared with typical masks. The mask may include a pair of ties that are joined to the upper, central, and lower parts of either side of the body of the mask with the assistance of restraint members. The mask may also include a sealing member that reduces or eliminates gaps between the wearer's face and the upper part of the mask by forming a seal between the wearer's face and the mask in use. In addition, the mask may include a barrier panel that reduces or prevents the wearer's breath from escaping through the mask and rising to the wearer's eyewear.
Abstract:
A method is provided for vehicle stability control of a vehicle where the vehicle includes a slip control braking system that applies independent braking pressure to respective vehicle brakes of the vehicle. The vehicle further includes a steering system for applying steering intervention for stability control. The method includes detecting a split-mu braking condition and applying a steering assist torque to the steering system. A determination is made whether a steering wheel angle condition is within a predetermined threshold. An aggressive braking strategy is applied if the steering wheel angle condition is within the predetermined threshold, else applying a non-aggressive braking strategy.
Abstract:
Disposable surgical drapes and gowns exhibiting desirable softness, foldability, absorbency and breathability characteristics incorporate cluster bonded nonwoven laminates. Film layers and nonwoven web layers are secured together by spaced apart unbounded adhesive clusters. Each adhesive cluster includes a perimeterless grouping of discrete spaced apart adhesive droplets. A method and modified apparatus for making the cluster bonded laminates is also described.
Abstract:
A fender mounting assembly includes a backing plate and a branch. The backing plate is configured to attach to a slip wall to mount the fender mounting assembly to the slip wall. The branch is configured to hold a fender a predetermined distance away from the slip wall. The branch extends from the backing plate and includes a first section and a second section. The first section has a first end and a second end. The first end is attached to the backing plate. The second section has a third end and a fourth end. The third end is attached to the second end of the first section. When the fender mounting assembly is attached to the slip wall in an upright position via the backing plate, the second section of the branch extends downwardly from the first section of the branch.
