    Abstract: A surgical drape is disclosed herein that is to be used for medical procedures in order to ensure sterile portions are not contaminated. The surgical drape can be configured to be placed around a surgical site where an operative procedure is to be conducted. The surgical drape includes a u-shaped opening, at least one sleeve, and at least one flap on its proximal end. The at least one sleeve and the at least one flap extend outwardly from a top surface of the drape. The at least one flap includes adhesive components on one side that allow the at least one flap to be folded back on to itself to provide additional protective barrier from contamination.

    Abstract: Connection systems and methods for establishing optical and electrical connections through a drape are disclosed. A connection system can include a plug and a receptacle, the plug being configured to insert into the receptacle with the drape therebetween. The plug can include an optical terminal extending from a plug housing and an electrical terminal extending from the plug housing. The electrical terminal can be configured as a piercing element for piercing the drape. The receptacle can include an optical receiver within a receptacle housing and an electrical receiver within the receptacle housing. The optical receiver can be configured to form the optical connection with the optical terminal, and the electrical receiver can be configured to form the electrical connection with the electrical terminal when the plug is inserted into the receptacle with the drape therebetween.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides example device covers implementing differential adhesive systems allowing for clean removal of the cover after a prolonged dwell period. An example device cover comprises a bore section, a first drape section extending from a first end of the bore section, and a second drape section extending from a second end of the bore section. A first edge of the first drape section may extend from the first end of the bore section at approximately a 50° angle, a second edge of the first drape section may extend from the first end of the bore section at approximately a 130° angle. The first drape section and second drape section may be symmetrical with respect to each other. The device cover may further comprise one or more adhesive tabs, each comprising an intermediary body with a first acrylic adhesive layer and an opposite second rubber adhesive layer.

    Abstract: The disclosure herein provides methods, systems, and devices for a sterile ophthalmic surgical drape system that can provide a sterile operating field for use by a doctor, surgeon, nurse, and the like during ophthalmic medical procedures. The sterile field created by the drape system can allow a doctor, surgeon, nurse and the like to perform a medical procedure, such as ophthalmic surgery, outside of an operating room and in locations such as a doctor's office or a military operating room war setting. The sterile ophthalmic surgical drape system can comprise a drape, a frame apparatus, a hole of sufficient size for a microscope, a fan, a filter, air directors, and slits. The drape system can comprise a collapsible frame apparatus. The drape system may be configured to be used in conjunction with a surgical tray that houses pre-sterilized tools for use in a medical procedure.
