    摘要: An optical head capable of forming images of good quality even when there is a spread in the light emission quantity between the light-emitting elements. The optical head comprises a plurality of light-emitting element modules each having a plurality of light-emitting elements, a plurality of module light emission quantity control units for controlling the light emission quantity of a plurality of light-emitting elements, and a plurality of module light emission quantity correction units for correcting the light emission quantity of a plurality of light-emitting elements for each light-emitting element module. The module light emission quantity correction units preferably correct the light emission quantity of the light-emitting element so that the light emission quantity of the light-emitting element modules is almost uniform.

    摘要: Image data is inputted from a data processing means 123 into storage means 124 so that light emitting elements of one line 128a of a light-emitting element (yellow) line head 128 are activated to expose pixels on an image carrier according to an output signal form a shift resistor 124a. The image carrier is moved in the direction of arrow X in such a manner that the pixels reach a position corresponding to the light emitting elements in a next line 128b. At this point of time, the image data are transmitted to a shift resistor 124b and then outputted to the line 128b so as to expose the pixels again. The image data are transmitted among the shift resistors sequentially by moving the image carrier, thereby sequentially repeatedly expose the same pixels.

    摘要: In a line head, a plurality of element arrays arranged in a first direction. Each array includes a plurality of light emission elements arrayed in a second direction which is perpendicularly to the first direction. The light emission elements emit light for forming an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive surface of an image carrier. A switcher activates the light emission elements in at least one of the element arrays while deactivating the others. A developer develops the latent image as a visible image with toner.

    摘要: In a line head, a plurality of light emitters are arrayed on a substrate in a first direction. Each of the light emitters is operable to emit a light beam. In a rod lens array, a plurality of rod lenses are arrayed in the first direction, and each of the rod lenses is adapted to focus the light beam emitted from an associated one of the light emitters onto a target surface. The substrate and the rod lens array are attached to a holder elongated in the first direction. Positioning members are provided at both end portions of the holder in the first direction. A relative position between the substrate and at least one of the positioning members is variable in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.
