The first drive circuit drives each first light emitting element with an identical first current value. The second drive circuit drives each second light emitting element with an identical second current value different from the first current value.

The image formation apparatus includes as operation modes a first mode in which no sheet type is sensed and a second mode in which a sheet type is sensed. The controller performs different processes for control regarding rotation of the motor in the first and second modes, respectively.

The controller 50 causes the infrared irradiating portion 13 to irradiate the feeding belt 14 with the infrared radiation while causing the feeding belt 14 to rotate in a stand-by state in which the controller 50 waits for an execution instruction of an image forming operation in a state in which the image forming operation is capable of being started.

摘要: A light scanning device includes: a first semiconductor laser 44a that emits a light beam L1; a polygonal mirror 42 that deflects the light beam L1; a reflective mirror 64a that reflects the light beam L1 deflected by the polygonal mirror 42 and causes the light beam L1 to enter a photosensitive drum 13; and a BD sensor 72 that detects the light beam L1 deflected by the polygonal mirror 42. The light scanning device scans the photosensitive drum 13 with the light beam L1 and set scanning timing of the photosensitive drum 13 using the light beam L1 based on detection timing of the light beam L1 using the BD sensor 72. The BD sensor 72 is arranged in the position farther from the polygonal mirror 42 than the last reflective mirror 64a that reflects the light beam L1 immediately before entering the photosensitive drum 13 and arranged inside a scanning angle range α of the light beam L1 corresponding to an effective scan area of the photosensitive drum 13.

摘要: A light-emitting device includes multiple transfer elements, multiple setting elements, multiple light-emitting elements, and a controller. The transfer elements sequentially enter an on state. The setting elements are connected to the transfer elements. In response to the transfer elements entering the on state, the setting elements are allowed to enter an on state. Each of the light-emitting elements is connected to a corresponding one of the setting elements. In response to each of the setting elements entering the on state, the corresponding one of the light-emitting elements enters an on state to emit light or increase a light emission intensity thereof. The light-emitting elements are maintained in the on state in parallel. The controller controls the setting elements to enter the on state in accordance with a received illumination control signal, and controls an illumination period of the light-emitting elements.

摘要: In an image forming apparatus, a control unit performs a control for determining a surface potential A to determine a first voltage to be applied to a charge roller by a charge voltage application circuit so that a surface potential of a photosensitive drum becomes a first potential. The charge voltage application circuit thereafter applies the first voltage to the charge roller to charge the photosensitive drum. In such a state, the control unit performs a second control to determine a light amount of a laser light source, so that the surface potential of the photosensitive drum becomes a second potential. In such a manner, a potential of a photosensitive drum surface is detected with high accuracy. Moreover, a time taken to detect the potential of the photosensitive drum surface is shortened.
