A cutting apparatus configured to cut a sheet or a sheet bundle includes a cutting blade whose blade surface has a plurality of grooves. In the cutting apparatus, a scraping member enters the grooves provided on the blade surface to scrape off cutting scraps remaining after a cutting operation. Accordingly, the cutting apparatus can scrape off cutting scraps from the cutting blade even if the adhesive force of the cutting scraps is great.

The invention concerns processes and solutions for the treatment of copper alloy surfaces, which are subsequently to be firmly bonded to polymeric material. The solution is used, in particular for firmly bonding lead frames to encapsulating molding compounds (polymeric material). The solution contains an oxidant, at least one acid, at least one adhesion-enhancing compound characterized in that the solution additionally contains fluoride ions in an amount of at least 100 mg per litre and chloride ions in an amount of 5 to 40 mg per litre. The solution is particularly useful for treatment of copper alloy surfaces, containing alloying elements selected from the group consisting of Si, Ni, Fe, Zr, P, Sn and Zn.

A submersible motor electric wire includes a conductor including a copper wire and an enamel coating formed on the periphery of the copper wire, and an insulating sheath layer formed outside the conductor. The insulating sheath layer includes a silane graft polymer as a main constituent. The silane graft polymer is formed by a graft-polymerization that an unsaturated silane compound and an organic peroxide are added to polyethylene, and is cross-linked contacting with water in the presence of a siloxane condensation catalyst. Alternatively, the insulating sheath layer includes a composition including polyethylene as a main constituent, and the composition is cross-linked by being irradiated with an ionizing radiation.

The present invention provides a sheet processing apparatus and an image forming apparatus, in which sheet information can be easily and surely be concealed without damaging a sheet S. After a wrapping portion 500A wraps the sheet with a magnet sheet MS while the magnet sheet MS is folded into two by a pressing force of the sheet, a discharge portion discharges the magnet sheet MS with which the sheet S is wrapped. Therefore, the sheet information can be easily and surely be concealed without damaging the sheet S.

There is provided an image forming system that are capable of preventing a user or operator from forgetting to carry out a maintenance operation based on required sub-maintenance items after execution of a maintenance operation based on an associated maintenance item, such as component replacement, cleaning, or adjustment. A table of maintenance items and sub-maintenance items associated with respective ones of the maintenance items is stored in a ROM. When a CPU determines that a maintenance operation based on a selected one of the maintenance items has been completed, the CPU determines whether or not there is any sub-maintenance item associated with the selected maintenance item, by referring to the table. When it is determined that there is one or more sub-maintenance items associated with the selected maintenance item, a CPU provides control to display the sub-maintenance item or items in an operating/display unit.
