摘要： Provided is a display apparatus and a method of fabricating the display apparatus. The display apparatus includes a first substrate that allows visible light to pass therethrough, a second substrate facing the first substrate, an anode disposed on the first substrate, a cathode disposed on the second substrate, an electron emitter disposed either on the anode or the cathode, a light emitting layer formed on a surface of the anode, an optical reflection layer disposed on a side of the second substrate, and a gas that generates ultraviolet rays and is filled in a space between the first substrate and the second substrate. The display apparatus can increase the reflectance of visible light since the optical reflection layer is formed in a sealed inner space of the display apparatus, and thus, brightness and light emission efficiency of the transmissive type or reflective type display apparatus can be increased.

摘要： A flat panel for a cathode ray tube for preventing a screen image from being shown concavely to a user or viewer includes a flat outer surface and a non-spherically formed inner surface, the non-spherically formed inner surface satisfying formula 1: y1≦y2  (formula 1) wherein y1 represents a vertical distance between the outer surface and a refracted screen image on a central axis of the panel, and y2 represents a vertical distance between the outer surface and the refracted screen image in peripheral areas other than the central axis of the panel, and the panel has a high transmission ratio equal to or greater than about 60% for preventing degradation of luminance due to a difference in thickness between a central section and a peripheral section of the panel.

摘要： A computer system includes a control panel having a rotary switch and a plurality of push button switches provided in the front bezel of the computer main body. The rotary switch uses a well-known endless loop type rotatable switch, called “jog dial”. The jog dial is used for selecting an application program among a plurality of programs stored in the computer. Also, the button switches are used for performing a specific function relative to the control panel. A microcontroller is provided to produce predefined key scan code data corresponding to each switch signal input from the control panel. The computer system determines whether a key scan code data corresponding to the operation of the control panel is inputted and produces a command for performing a function corresponding to the rotation of the rotary switch or the pressing of the button switches. Provided is a shell program stored in a memory of the system host, for displaying a program selection menu window on the computer monitor when the key scan code data is received by the system host, for executing an application program by the command produced in the computer system. The invention provides an effective user interface since selecting, executing, and ending of a desired application program are possible in a more convenient manner through operation of the control panel. Further, registration of a new program menu item as well as the editing and deleting of the registered program menu are possible through the mouse operation.
