A modular jack connector (100) includes a contact module (2) having a paddle board (22) formed with two conductive sections (28b). The contact module includes two transformers (24) each including a magnetic core (271) embedded in the paddle board, and a number of PCB layout traces distributed in the paddle board and including a first group of PCB layout traces having one group of tips extending to a position adjacent to corresponding magnetic core to form a magnetic field and another group of tips connected to the conductive section, and a second group of PCB layout traces having one group of tips extending to a position adjacent to corresponding magnetic core to form a magnetic field and another group of tips connected to the vias. The common mode chokes are surface mounted on the conductive section.

The insulative housing defines a pipe slot (152) extending through the front face and the side face for receiving the guiding pipe, and further has a receiving channel (152) in communication with the pipe slot for receiving the lighting pipe and a number of pin slots (151) extending rearwardly and through the rear face of the housing for receiving the pins.

An electrical connector (1) for electrically connecting with a modular plug (2) includes an insulative housing (10) having a receiving cavity (100) and a resisting block (126) formed in the receiving cavity and having a curved surface (122). A number of contacts (20) is mounted in the receiving cavity. Each contact has a mating portion (21) extending into the receiving cavity and cantilevered above the resisting block. The modular plug is engaged with the mating portion and presses the mating portion to the resisting block when the modular plug is inserted into the receiving cavity. When the plug connector is inserted into the receiving cavity, the mating potion abuts against the curved surface.

A modular jack (100) adapted for receiving a pair of mating connectors includes an insulative housing (1) having a pair of cavities (10) for receiving the corresponding mating connectors, a number of terminal modules (3) received in the cavities for electrically connecting with the mating connector, and a conductive outer shield (2) enclosing the corresponding insulative housing. The modular jack further has a detachable grounding member (7) made from conductive material and electrically connected with the conductive outer shield for grounding. The grounding member has a number of contacting plates (7121,7131,7141) extending into the corresponding cavities for connecting and grounding the corresponding mating connectors.

The insert module includes a plurality of contacts (31, 32) extending into the cavity of the housing, and at least one internal PCB (53) containing at least one ground pad. The rear ground plate is coupled to a rear portion of the insert module and includes at least one upper grounding contact (41) electrically connecting with ground pad of the internal PCB and at least one lower grounding contact (43) extending downwardly for engaging with a ground pad of the main PCB. The outer shell is provided for surrounding the insulative housing with the rear ground plate sandwiched therebetween.

The number terminals are electrically connected with the conductive sections and secured to the housing for connecting with the mother board.
