Abstract:
Steering handle, in particular steering wheel, for motor vehicles, on which means are provided for recognition of a contact between at least one hand of the vehicle driver and the steering handle (free hand recognition).
Abstract:
A method for fabricating a geometric beamsplitter involves applying a reflective coating having at least one metallic layer to a transparent substrate. A pattern of holes containing numerous holes that are preferably randomly distributed over its reflective surface is created in the reflective coating using laser processing. The method allows inexpensively fabricating beamsplitters that have accurately defined transmittances. Beamsplitters in accordance with the invention are suitable for use as dosimetry mirrors on, for example, the illumination systems of microlithographic projection exposure systems.
Abstract:
A safety circuit which is essentially for supplyng hydraulic loads. Briefly stated, this circuit has a control pump which, via a priority valve, supplies hydraulic power to a power steering hydraulic circuit and at least one other load hydraulic circuit on a priority basis where the power steering receives the highest priority. Also provided is a control circuit which limits the intake pressure of the control pump and has a safety valve associated with it which is controlled by the intake vacuum of the control pump. This valve effects a reduction of the pump output when pressure in the suction line from the hydraulic fluid storage container drops below a minimum pressure. The safety valve cooperates with the priority valve such that it brings the priority valve into a first operational condition when there is sufficient suction pressure thereby supplying power to the power steering hydraulic circuit and other loads, and into a second operational condition in which the flow of hydraulic fluid to all loads but the power steering circuit is interrupted. The safety valve therefore prevents cavitation in the control pump while providing for a provision of hydraulic fluid to only the power steering circuit when the volume of hydraulic fluid in the system falls below a predetermined value.
Abstract:
A handoff control method includes the following: Handoff status information of a first mobile host (MH) is collected. The handoff status information includes at least one parameter that is used for representing a status that happened during the first handoff from a source access point (AP) to a target AP. A handoff policy is generated based on the handoff status information, and used for optimizing a handoff process of an MH associated with the source AP. The handoff process occurs after the first MH is handed off from the source AP. The handoff policy is sent to the MH associated with the source AP, so the MH associated with the source AP can perform the handoff according to the handoff policy. A handoff control device and a system represent technical solutions that optimize the handoff process, reduce a total time delay of handoff, and increase a likelihood of successful handoff.

Abstract:
A system and method for chemical mechanical polishing of a substrate is disclosed in which a polishing pad is conditioned by directing a fluid jet to the surface of the polishing pad. Thus, the use of expensive consumables, like conditioning pads comprising diamonds, can be avoided. Furthermore, the risk of substrates being scratched by diamonds lost from the conditioning pad is avoided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the preparation of orally administrable formulations of quinolone- or naphthyridonecarboxylic acids by mixing quinolone- or naphthyridonecarboxylic acids as such or in the form of their water-soluble salts or derivatives, preferably in the form of their aqueous salt solutions, with embonic acid as such or in the form of its water-soluble salts or derivatives, preferably in the form of its aqueous salt solutions, in the presence of an excipient, optionally in the presence of auxiliaries, when using dry mixtures in the presence of water, and optionally converting the mixture obtained into further ready-to-use forms.
Abstract:
In a locking system comprising a lock unit and a key unit, each of which has an induction coil for transmitting power and data, the induction coil on the lock side is mounted by via a coil carrier on a lock body in the lock unit. Between the induction coil on the lock side and the lock body, there is a screening body which magnetically screens off the lock body from the induction coil on the lock side.
