    摘要： A media storage system for an automated banking machine (10) includes a rotating flipper member (90, 178, 222) which is rotationally movable to engage sheets. A moveable gripper member (138, 182, 226) is movably mounted relative to the flipper member. The flipper member further includes an arcuately extending slot (92, 180, 232). A sheet extending in the slot is held in fixed engagement with the flipper member by the gripper member. Rotation of the flipper member to a releasing position causes the sheet to be engaged with a stop surface (160, 188, 284) as the gripper member moves to release the sheet. Sheets released by the flipper member are positioned in a stack (94, 184, 234). In alternative embodiments a flipper member (178, 222) includes a picker portion (202, 278). The picker portion is selectively operated to remove sheets from the stack for delivery to a user of the machine.

A gate mechanism associated with the second end of the first transport is movable between a first position wherein envelopes and single document deposits may be discharged from the module and a second position wherein single document deposits may be transported between the first transport to the second transport.

    摘要： An automated banking machine operates to cause financial transfers responsive at least in part to data read from data bearing records. The machine includes a card reader operative to read card data corresponding to at least one of a user and a financial account. A computer associated with the machine is operative to cause a determination to be made that the card data corresponds to a financial account authorized to conduct a transaction through operation of the machine. The account corresponding to the card data is assessed or credited with a value associated with the transaction. A record of the transaction is printed through operation of a printer. The machine includes at least one serviceable component. Sensors are operative to sense whether a serviceable component is in an operative position, and to provide an indication related thereto.

The processor can cause the card reader to read card data from a user card, and can determine whether the read card data corresponds to an authorized financial account. Without the touch screen display surface visibly providing indicia that corresponds to a desired character, the user can still input the character through user contact with the touch screen display surface. The processor can resolve the desired character from the user contact.
