Abstract: A liquid crystal display device, comprising: a first substrate; a second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer; and a spacer, wherein the first substrate includes a first pixel row, a second pixel row, a first source line and a second source line that extend in the second direction, a first gate line that extends in the first direction between the first pixel row and the second pixel row, a first thin film transistor to which the first source line, and the first gate line are electrically connected, and a second thin film transistor to which the second source line, and the first gate line are electrically connected, and the spacer is disposed so as to overlap with at least a portion of the first thin film transistor and at least a portion of the second thin film transistor in plan view.

Abstract: An image processing device that generates a second output image signal output to a second liquid crystal panel that is disposed to be superposed on a first liquid crystal panel, includes: a first corrector that generates a gamma correction signal in which a gradation value of an input image signal is corrected; a detector that receives the gamma correction signal and detects an image region brighter than surroundings as a first high-frequency portion from the gamma correction signal; and a second corrector that receives the gamma correction signal and a detection result of the detector and performs correction to decrease the gradation value of the first high-frequency portion in the gamma correction signal. The second output image signal is generated based on the gamma correction signal corrected by the second corrector.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, and an electrostatic capacitive type touch panel which is formed in an overlapping manner with the display panel. A plurality of X electrodes and a plurality of Y electrodes intersecting with the X electrodes. A first signal line supplies signals to the X electrodes, a second signal line supplies signals to the Y electrodes, and the first signal line and the second signal line are formed on a flexible printed circuit board. A dummy electrode is formed adjacent to an electrode portion of each X electrode and electrode portion of each Y electrode, the dummy electrode does not overlap the X electrode and the Y electrode, and the dummy electrode does not electrically connect with the first and second signal lines.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes: first and second liquid crystal cells; first and second circuit boards connected to the first and second liquid crystal cells through first and second flexible wiring boards, respectively; a frame disposed on an opposite side to the first liquid crystal cell with respect to the second liquid crystal cell; and a holder that holds the first circuit board and the second circuit board. The first circuit board and the second circuit board are disposed on an opposite side to the second liquid crystal cell with respect to the frame. The second circuit board is located closer to the frame than the first circuit board, and the holder sandwiches the first circuit board, and stores the second circuit board between the frame and the holder.

Abstract: Provided is a display panel including: a plurality of pixel electrodes divided into a plurality of groups; and a plurality of common electrodes arranged at a ratio of one to a plurality of pixel electrodes included in one of the plurality of groups. Each of a plurality of sensor electrode lines overlaps with corresponding one of a plurality of data signal lines in plan view. The plurality of sensor electrode lines and each of the plurality of common electrodes overlap each other in plan view. The each of the plurality of common electrodes is electrically connected to the plurality of sensor electrode lines. At least one insulating film is formed between each of a region between the data signal lines and the sensor electrode lines, a region between the sensor electrode lines and the common electrodes, and a region between the common electrodes and the pixel electrodes.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a TFT substrate having a first alignment film and an opposing substrate having a second alignment film with liquid crystals sandwiched therebetween. One of the first and second alignment films, comprises a first polyimide produced via polyamide acid ester containing cyclobutane as a precursor and a second polyimide produced via polyamide acid as a precursor. The polyamide acid has a higher polarity than that of the polyamide acid ester. The one of the first and second alignment films is responsive to photo-alignment. A first side of the one of the first and second alignment films is adjacent to the liquid crystals, and a second side thereof is closer to one of the TFT substrate and the counter substrate than the first side. The first side contains more of the first polyimide and less of the second polyimide than the second side.
