摘要： A fusing apparatus allows a recording member to pass through between a heat member and a pressure member, to transport and heat the recording member, and thereby fuses a toner image on the recording member. The heat member has a release layer, a low emissivity member, and an elastic layer. The release layer is formed on an outermost layer of the heat member. The low emissivity member is provided between the heat source and the release layer so as to abut on the release layer, and is made of a material with a lower emissivity than a material forming the release layer. The elastic layer is provided between the heat source and the low emissivity member. The release layer has infrared transmission properties at wavelengths of 2 to 10 μm.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a fixing member having a cylindrical or annular shape for fixing an image onto a sheet which is in pressure contact with an outer surface thereof; and a heating source for heating the fixing member to a fixing temperature. A duct is provided in a position facing the fixing member with respect to a width direction perpendicular to a circumferential direction of the fixing member and which has an inlet for taking in fine particles generated from the fixing member. An exhaust fan is provided inside the duct or in an outlet of the duct for generating an air flow going from the inlet to the outlet of the duct. A first filter member is provided upstream or downstream from the exhaust fan inside the duct and the first filter can trap the fine particles which flow through the duct getting on the air flow. A control section controls an amount of the air flow passing through the first filter member according to initial burst conditions under which the fine particles are emitted from the fixing member.

摘要： An NTSC tuner, an ISDB tuner, a CATV tuner, and a CATV modulator are connected to an analog switch box. Demodulation sections, an A/D, clock-reproducing section, and a modulation section are connected between the analog switch box a bus. MPEG2 video decoder sections, an MPEG2 audio decoder sections, an NTSC/EDTV horizontal decoder section, an EDTV vertical decoder section, an MPEG2 video encoder section, and an MPEG2 audio encoder section are connected between the bus and a bus. An audio amplifier, a graphics controller, and A/D conversion sections are connected the bus. The switch box and the buses are connected to a bus controller, which is connected to a CPU, a memory, and a remote-control I/F. These modules are selectively used to receive and process digital broadcasting signals, digital CATV signals or NTSC broadcasting signals. Even while the CPU is performing bootstrap processing immediately after the power switch of the television receiver is turned on, a DMA device is initialized, causing a monitor to display an image being received, no matter whether an operating system has been activated or not.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a cylindrical or annular fixing member, an outer surface of which is brought into pressure contact with a conveyed sheet to fix an image onto the sheet; and a heating source for heating the fixing member to a specified target temperature. The fixing member includes a cylindrical or annular base material, a rubber layer with elasticity, and an outer layer for aiding release of the sheet. An end portion of the rubber layer and an end portion of the outer layer are each positioned inner than an end portion of the base material with respect to a width direction perpendicular to a circumferential direction on the base material. A filter member capable of trapping ultra fine particles generated from the rubber layer is provided on the base material in a position facing the end portion of the rubber layer along the circumferential direction.

摘要： It is intended to provide an image forming apparatus capable of securing rotation transmission accuracy among input/output axes without giving stress to a holding portion despite shaft misalignment and without using material of high strength. A color printer 1 comprises a main body 2 and an image forming unit 30 removable from the main body 2. The main body 2 includes a gear 43 for receiving rotary driving force to the image forming unit 30 and a joint 45 and the image forming unit 30 has a coupling 36 for receiving rotary driving force from the main body 2. Furthermore, a joint holder section 43a for the gear 43 and the coupling 36 has a contact hole 47, and contact hole 36a, respectively and both ends of the joint 45 are inserted in those holes. The contact holes 47 and 36a are in not-twisted triangle pole shape and the joint 45 is in twisted triangle pole shape.
