    Abstract: A system and method for discovering space characteristics, the system comprising a data store storing a facility information dataset corresponding to a physical world facility, the facility information set including a 3D virtual world (VW) representation, a plurality of volume specifications, one volume specification for each of a plurality of different volumetric portions of the VW representation, an interface device including a display screen located within the facility associated with the VW representation, occupancy sensors, a processor linked to the interface device and the data store, the processor programmed to perform the steps of accessing the VW representation of the facility, presenting a first view of the VW representation via the display screen as a space discovery tool for a user to view, visually distinguishing volumetric portions of the VW representation corresponding to portions of the physical world facility that are currently unoccupied, receiving user input via the interface device to change the view of the VW representation on the display screen and changing the view of the VW representation on the display screen to a second view based on the received user input.

    Abstract: A collaboration system for sharing digital content among multiple conferees during a conference session, each conferee using a personal computing device including a device display screen and a device processor, includes a wireless receiver, at least a first large common display screen providing a common emissive surface, and at least a first system processor linked to the receiver and the at least a first common display screen. The device and system processors are programmed to cooperate to provide a user interface via each device display screen, each interface including at least a first sharing field and a file queue. The processors also are programmed to visually distinguish, on each user interface, each file added to the session by one conferee from other files added by other conferees. Additionally, the processors are configured to replicate content presented in the at least a first sharing field on the large common emissive surface.

    Abstract: A conferencing system for conferencing between multiple local conferees within a first conference space and at least a first remote conferee located remotely from the first conference space includes an emissive surface located within the first conference space for generating at least first and second video representations of the remote conferee and at least a first processor for driving the emissive surface to simultaneously present at least the first and second video representations on the emissive surface. The first video representation shows the remote conferee from a first perspective and the second video representation shows the remote conferee from a second, different perspective. The first video representation is observable from within a first viewing zone and not within a second viewing zone within the conference space, and the second video representation is observable from within the second viewing zone and not within the first viewing zone.

    Abstract: A backrest includes a primary frame having a pair of laterally spaced first uprights defining a first opening therebetween, a first front surface and a first rear surface.
