The supply reel brake unit includes a supply reel brake having an operating pin, and a mode switch gear having an operating protrusion pushing the operating pin in a tape running mode, thereby releasing the tape supply reel table. In addition, the supply reel brake unit may comprise a drive cam gear, a supply reel brake cooperating with the drive cam gear to selectively brake the tape supply reel table. The take-up reel brake unit includes a clutch gear engaging with the reel gear of the tape take-up reel table, a take-up reel brake having a rotation limit lever limiting the rotation of the brake in cooperation with the guide pin of the stationary base plate, a latch of the brake selectively engaging with the reel gear of the tape take-up reel table to brake the take-up reel table, and a stop pin of the take-up reel brake received by the slit of the slide base to separate the latch of the brake from the reel gear of the tape take-up reel table in a tape loading operation, thereby releasing the tape take-up reel table.

    摘要: A reel brake device in a recording and reproducing apparatus is operated by a tape loading mechanism. A cam portion is formed on any one side of at least one of a pair of loading gears employed for driving a pair of tape guide units which draw a tape from the cassette. The reel brake for braking the reels includes a friction member for braking the supply reel table and an operating portion which comes into contact with a cam surface and a cam protrusion surface of the cam portion selectively so that it may be driven. Under a tape unloading condition, the reel brake performs braking or releasing operation of the reels as the loading gear rotates in a predetermined direction. Driving of the reel brake by the existing loading gear without using any separate driving element, makes it possible to maintain the brake stroke, enhance the accuracy in operation, and reduce the number of elements constituting the supply reel brake device.

    摘要: A deck mechanism for a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus, wherein its fixed base plate and its slide base are slidably coupled to each other without defining a space therebetween. Elements of a tape traveling system are arranged on upper and lower surfaces of the fixed base plate and the upper surface of the slide base. The upper surface of the fixed base plate is mounted with the head drum, a loading motor, a supply slant post assembly, a take-up slant post assembly, a stabilizer, pinch roller arm-driving and pressing mechanisms, a head cleaning mechanism, a capstan shaft of a capstan, all being upwardly protruded from the upper surface of the fixed base plate. The upper surface of the slide base is mounted with a supply reel table, a take-up reel table, a tension adjusting mechanism, and a brake, all being upwardly protruded from the upper surface of the slide base. The lower surface of the fixed base plate is mounted with a power transmission system for the loading motor, a rotor magnet of a capstan motor, an idler mechanism, and a mode sensing mechanism. The deck mechanism of the present invention can be reduced in volume, total height and in number of elements used. As a result, it is possible to provide products with light, thin, simple and compact construction and reduce the manufacture cost.
