When a focus detection is performed without lighting of the light projection part, a controller (100) generates information used for focusing control based on a focus state detection result and the information relating to the light source. When the focus detection is performed with lighting of the light projection part, the controller generates the information used for the focusing control based on the focus state detection result and correction information depending on a wavelength of the light projected from the light projection part without using the information relating to the light source. Thus, a highly-accurate AF control can be performed under various light sources including an AF assist light.

With this construction, it can be prevented that a distance measurement region in which the measurement object is captured and a photometry region provided corresponding to the distance measurement region are shifted with respect to each other even when the set measurement object is located at any distance.

    摘要: There are provided a rangefinder device which is capable of detecting that improper distance measurement through glass or the like has been performed, even when the glass is positioned at a certain or considerable distance from the camera, and a camera incorporating the rangefinder device. A projecting section projects a signal beam towards a photographic subject, and a light receiving section receives light from the photographic subject due to the projection via two different light paths. A distance information calculating circuit calculates distance information related to a distance to the photographic subject from the positional relationship between images received by the light receiving section. A position calculating circuit calculates first position information related to positions of the images received by the light receiving section based upon the calculated distance information. A determination circuit determines whether the calculated distance information is proper or improper, from the relationship between the first position information calculated by the position calculating circuit and second position information related to light receiving positions of the images that is obtained based upon an output from the light receiving section.

    摘要: A focus detection sensor includes a line sensor comprised of a pair of sensor arrays in which a plurality of pixels are arranged. The sensor arrays include a pixel of a first type having an arrangement for transferring charges generated by a photoelectric conversion device to a corresponding memory device and causing the memory device to integrate the charges during a charge accumulation period, and a pixel of a second type having an arrangement for integrating, in the pixel, the charges generated by the photoelectric conversion device during the charge accumulation period without transferring the charges to the memory device until the end of the charge accumulation period, and transferring the charges to the corresponding memory device when the charge accumulation period has ended. An accurate charge accumulation result can be obtained by a simple arrangement.
