    摘要: An image-pickup apparatus (1) includes a light projection part (32, 33) projecting light to an object, a focus detection part (26) detecting a focus state, a light-source detection part 31 detecting information relating to a light source. When a focus detection is performed without lighting of the light projection part, a controller (100) generates information used for focusing control based on a focus state detection result and the information relating to the light source. When the focus detection is performed with lighting of the light projection part, the controller generates the information used for the focusing control based on the focus state detection result and correction information depending on a wavelength of the light projected from the light projection part without using the information relating to the light source. Thus, a highly-accurate AF control can be performed under various light sources including an AF assist light.

    摘要: A rangefinder device and a camera are provided, which, in measuring a distance by the active method, are capable of properly measuring the distance even if the object to be measured is located at a short distance, while in measuring a distance by the passive method, are capable of measuring the distance without causing the conflict between far and near objects. A projecting section projects spot-shaped light on a range-finding object. A light receiving section comprises a plurality of photoelectric converting elements. A first calculating section calculates distance measurement information based on an output from the light receiving section receiving reflected light from the range-finding object, by driving the projecting section to project the light, and a second calculating section calculates distance measurement information based on an output from the light receiving section receiving extraneous light reflected from the range-finding object, without driving the projecting section. A control section sets a light receiving range of the light receiving section used for calculation of the distance measurement information by the second calculating section to be narrower than a light receiving range of the light receiving section used for calculation of the distance measurement information by the first calculating section.

The sensor arrays include a pixel of a first type having an arrangement for transferring charges generated by a photoelectric conversion device to a corresponding memory device and causing the memory device to integrate the charges during a charge accumulation period, and a pixel of a second type having an arrangement for integrating, in the pixel, the charges generated by the photoelectric conversion device during the charge accumulation period without transferring the charges to the memory device until the end of the charge accumulation period, and transferring the charges to the corresponding memory device when the charge accumulation period has ended. An accurate charge accumulation result can be obtained by a simple arrangement.
