Abstract:
A method using cmdlets in association with a graphical user interface for an application, a command line interface, and a web-based interface for the application includes generating a command which invokes at least one cmdlet. Each cmdlets containing the business logic for the application. The same cmdlets may be invoked from either the GUI, the command line, or the web-based interface. The result is that the task performed by the cmdlet is the same for each interface where each interface is absent business logic.
Abstract:
A method and system for controlling access to database information. One embodiment of the method includes a controlled interface through which database queries can be issued by an authorized user. Additionally, each authorized user may be granted access to specific scripts or tools that operate in conjunction with information stored by a database. Upon logging into the system, a user can be provided via the controlled interface a selection of scripts that he or she is authorized to use in conjunction with the database information. To enable operation of these scripts, specific information within the database is linked to particular scripts. Therefore, a user's access to database information is restricted by the scripts he or she can use with the database. When new information is added to the database and linked to specific scripts, it is automatically available to users granted access to one or more of those scripts.
Abstract:
Techniques for forming a rule to respond dynamically to requests for one or more resources on a network include providing, to a resource administrator, an interface for specifying the rule. The interface includes a first presentation area that displays data defining request information items associated with a request for the resource. The interface also includes a second presentation area that displays data defining access information items used to cause a server to respond to the request. The interface also includes a first input area for receiving commands from the resource administrator for deriving a value for at least one of the access information items. Code, which can be executed to apply the rule specified in the interface, is automatically generated. The code is automatically retrieved and executed when a request is received with a particular value for at least one particular request information item.
Abstract:
A radio network controller allocates a share of network resources to an access terminal that may be used by more than one user. The share is based on a parameter received from the access terminal and that identifies a number of users using the access terminal.
Abstract:
A universal system and method to permanently carry and make available critical personal medical information. Specifically, common Allergic drug reactions and permanent chronic body illnesses or conditions. Useful to medical personnel, in emergency situations when the patient can't speak for himself.
Abstract:
A system allows exchange of information by converting it to/from proprietary formats from/to XML. An XML import tool may be used to import data from an XML file into a target repository by receiving user input for selecting data structures within the target repository, for selecting set of fields that belong to the selected set of data structures, and for mapping fields in the selected set of fields to tags associated with data within the XML file. A set of commands is generated based on the user inputs for populating the one or more fields that are mapped to tags with the data in the XML file. The set of commands cause the one or more fields that are mapped to tags to be populated with the data in the XML file.
Abstract:
A ring oscillator buffer stage, supplied by an adjustable current source of an asymmetrical current controlled ring oscillator, is provided for amplifying the output of the ring oscillator. The frequency of the ring oscillator varies as a function of a control signal. The buffer stage includes; a plurality of current controlled buffers, supplied by currents which are controlled in correspondence with the control signal, for amplifying the output of the oscillator; and a buffer for amplifying the output of the current controlled buffers for providing a full-swing output signal with a duty cycle of approximately 50%.
Abstract:
A communication system is presented in which a base station operates a first cell using a first component carrier and a second cell using a second component carrier. A control channel and reference signals of a first type are provided using the first component carrier. The control channel and the reference signals of the first type are not provided, and reference signals of a second type are provided, using the second component carrier. The base station determines from results of measurements performed on reference signals of the second type whether or not the mobile communication device is within an area covered by said second cell and, if it is, transmits cell configuration information to the mobile communication device.

Abstract:
A method is provided for making a solar cell. The method includes providing a stack including a substrate, a barrier layer disposed on the substrate, and an anti-reflective layer disposed on the barrier layer, where the anti-reflective layer has charge centers. The method also includes generating a corona with a charging tool and contacting the anti-reflective layer with the corona thereby injecting charge into at least some of the charge centers in the anti-reflective layer. Ultra-violet illumination and temperature-based annealing may be used to modify the charge of the anti-reflective layer.
