Abstract:
A fan rotation speed test device connected to a computer includes an information processing chip, an indicating unit, and an interface. The interface is compatible with a memory socket on a mainboard of the computer. The computer transfers control instructions to the information processing chip via the interface. After receiving the control instructions, the information processing chip outputs PWM signals by executing programs therein to modulate the rotation speed of a fan. The information processing chip collects rotation speed signals of the fan, then judges if the rotation speed of the fan is according to a predetermined standard by executing arithmetic programs. The information processing chip outputs test result signals to the indicating unit for display.

Abstract:
A linear voltage regulator circuit includes first and second voltage input terminals to receive a first or second external voltage, a voltage output terminal, a voltage regulator unit, a voltage switch unit, and a voltage detecting unit. The voltage regulator unit selectively receives the first or second external voltage controlled by the voltage switch unit. The voltage detecting unit outputs a first control signal to control the voltage switch unit to output the first external voltage to the voltage regulator unit, in response to an output voltage of the voltage output terminal being less than or equal to a predetermined value. The voltage detecting unit outputs a second control signal to control the voltage switch unit to output the second external voltage to the voltage regulator unit in response to the output voltage being greater than the predetermined value.
Abstract:
A method is described for producing an amended realization of a geostatistical model of a hydrocarbon reservoir using the Karhunen-Loève (KL) expansion. The KL expansion may be used to produce amended realizations for history matching and is widely used. However, it is necessary in order to use the KL expansion to perform singular value decomposition of the covariance matrix of the model to provide eigenvectors and eigen values for use in the expansion. In a typical geostatistical model, the covariance matrix is too large for singular value decomposition to be performed. Prior solutions to this problem involved reducing the resolution of the model so as to reduce the size of the covariance matrix. In the method described, a plurality of random realizations are generated and an approximation of the covariance matrix is constructed from the realizations, the approximation matrix having smaller dimensions than the true covariance matrix.

An indicator light control circuit includes a basic input output system (BIOS) integrated circuit (IC), a microcontroller, a signal control unit, an electronic switch, and an indicator light. The microcontroller includes a general purpose input output (GPIO) pin. When different operating options of the indicator light are set into and by the BIOS IC, the BIOS IC controls the GPIO pin of the microcontroller to output command signals, such as a low voltage signal, a high voltage signal and pulse signals, then the signal control unit generates and outputs signals according to the command signals. Thus, the electronic switch is operated to turn on or turn off or to pulse when controlling the operation of the indicator light(s).

The keyboard includes a main body and an extension board extending from the main body. The main body has a key area. The extension board is fixed to the engaging board to help stabilize the display assembly.
Abstract:
A connecting device for connecting pins of a DIP chip to a test device comprises two each of half frames, columns of testing pins, connecting screws, fixing screws, and four holding plates. The two columns of testing pins are arranged respectively on the two half frames parallel to the lengthways direction of the half frame. The distance between two adjacent testing pins in the same column is equal to that between the two adjacent pins in the same column of the DIP chip. The two connecting screws screw into the half frames perpendicular to the lengthways direction of the half frame. Two of the holding plates extend down from each of the half frames and are aligned with short sides of the corresponding half frame. The fixing screws fix the two holding plates on the same half frame along a direction parallel to the lengthways direction of the half frame.
