Abstract: The present disclosure relates to devices, apparatuses, and methods for enhanced PHR reporting in support of UE antenna scaling. A wireless device, which comprises at least one antenna array each comprising a plurality of antenna elements may perform antenna scaling by activating or deactivating at least one of the plurality of antenna elements (with corresponding RF chains) of one or more antenna arrays. The wireless device may generate a power headroom (PHR) report based at least on a difference between beamforming gains obtained after the antenna scaling and before the antenna scaling. The wireless device may then send the PHR report to a base station in communication with the wireless device.

Abstract: A wireless communication network schedules multiple components carriers on a same frequency band to user equipment (UE) for transmitting wireless signals. The network may indicate to the UE when to use each carrier, and the UE my switch between transmitting on each carrier. The UE may transmit multiple different signals on each carrier. In particular, the UE may include a local oscillator (LO) that generates a first frequency of a first carrier, and couple the LO to the transmission paths when transmitting using the first carrier. The UE may then cause the LO to generate a second of a second carrier, and couple the LO to the transmission paths when transmitting using the second carrier. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may include a second LO that generates the second frequency, and couple the second LO to the transmission paths when transmitting using the second carrier.

Abstract: User equipment (UE) may indicate a flexible direct current (DC) leakage location signaling capability to a network that facilitates transmission of accurate DC leakage locations to the network for improved reduction of negative impact of DC leakage on signal quality of uplink (UL) allocated resources. The UE may operate in the first DC leakage location signaling mode when only a single component carrier is activated, and indicate to the network one or more DC leakage locations corresponding to the single component carrier. Additionally, the UE may operate in the second DC leakage location signaling mode when at least a portion of two or more component carriers are activated, and enable the network to determine a default DC leakage location associated the two or more component carriers.

Abstract: User equipment that is capable of filtering for an irregular bandwidth of an allocated channel may send an indication of this capability to a network, which may then configure the channel to a next higher standard channel size, enabling the user equipment to filter this larger channel bandwidth to the irregular bandwidth. User equipment that is not capable of filtering for the irregular bandwidth may send an indication that it does not have this capability to the network, which may then configure the channel to a next lower standard channel size, thus avoiding the need for the user equipment to filter a larger channel bandwidth to the irregular bandwidth. In cases where the network detects that a blocking signal is not present that may interfere with the allocated channel, the network may configure the channel to the next higher standard channel size.

Abstract: This disclosure provides various techniques for enabling user equipment to communicate with a non-terrestrial communication hub or network of non-terrestrial communication hubs via a non-terrestrial network (NTN). By conforming NTN communications to standards and regulations for terrestrial cellular communications, network capabilities of the user equipment may be enhanced. This may be accomplished by defining frequency band identifiers (IDs) for NTN frequency bands and various uplink and downlink frequencies within the NTN frequency bands.

Abstract: User equipment may transmit and receive wireless signals to and from various communication networks. Furthermore, user equipment may indicate usage capabilities to the various wireless communication networks to enable the user equipment to transmit and/or receive wireless signals to and from at least two different communication networks. In particular, the user equipment may indicate usage capabilities of supporting both Frequency Range 2 (FR2) wireless signals of a fifth generation (5G) network and 7-24 gigahertz (GHz) wireless signals of a sixth generation (6G) network in an intermediate frequency range of the user equipment. The communication network(s) may then configure and/or schedule the user equipment based on the usage capabilities to enable the user equipment to simultaneously or non-simultaneously communicate using both the FR2 wireless signals and the 7-24 GHz wireless signals while preventing interference in the intermediate frequency range of the user equipment.

Abstract: An electronic device may transmit a communication request to a base station having an indication of a number of its receive branches and an indication of whether the communication request is designated as an urgent service fulfillment. The base station may delay a denial of the communication request until receiving the indication of whether the communication request is designated as using the urgent service fulfillment to reduce a likelihood of prematurely rejecting the communication request. The base station may also handover the communication request to a base station that supports the urgent service fulfillment. The base station may also be barred from transferring the user equipment to a frequency layer preferred by the base station when the communication request of the user equipment is designated as an urgent service fulfillment.

Abstract: User equipment may configure a transmitter or receiver to conform to regulations or standards of a geographical region to communicate with non-terrestrial networks (e.g., satellite networks). In one embodiment, the user equipment may receive an indication of a regulation or standard to which to conform to from a terrestrial communication node, and apply an emission mask to the transmitter based on the regulation or standard. The user equipment may additionally or alternatively configure the receiver to be compliant with a noise level tolerance of a received signal specified by the regulation or standard. In some embodiments, the user equipment may implement a frequency offset between the received signal and an interfering signal associated with the noise level tolerance that is scaled based at least on a channel bandwidth associated with the desired signal. Moreover, the user equipment may scale the noise level tolerance based on the frequency offset.

Abstract: User equipment may include a transmitter coupled to an antenna to enable the user equipment to transmit data with a communication node and/or a non-terrestrial network. The user equipment may transmit using high power over a period of time such that the transmission power of the user equipment is below an emission threshold. For example, the user equipment may adjust a buffer status report to reduce uplink allocation frequency. In another example, the user equipment may determine a duty cycle and transmit the data using high power based on the duty cycle. In another example, the user equipment may determine a priority of uplink symbols and transmit certain uplink symbols using high power. In this way, the user equipment may transmit using high power and may improve transmission range to the non-terrestrial network and/or a likelihood that transmissions may be received by the network while remaining within the emission threshold.

Abstract: A communication system may include user equipment (UE) communicatively coupled to one or more base stations. The UE and/or the one or more base stations may receive an indication of self-interference at the UE. This indication may be based on a receiver of the UE (e.g., a receive signal quality, a receive signal power, and so on), a transmitter of the UE (e.g., a transmission power), an estimate of self-interference, and so on. If there is sufficient self-interference (e.g., if the self-interference exceeds a threshold), then the one or more base stations may configure the UE for non-simultaneous receive/transmit operation to avoid transmission interfering with reception. If there is a lack of self-interference (e.g., if the self-interference does not exceed the threshold), then the one or more base stations may configure the UE for simultaneous receive/transmit operation, as transmission is unlikely to interfere with reception.
