    Abstract: Technology is disclosed for a user equipment (UE) operable for wake-up signal (WUS) communication in a fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) network. The UE can be configured to: identify a resource set for a WUS with a repetition level, wherein: the resource set for the WUS includes a mapping of the WUS that associates the WUS with one or more physical resource blocks and one or more orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, and the repetition level identifies a number of base sequences for the WUS in the resource set; and switch to a network access mode (NAM) from a power saving mode (PSM) based on a detection of the WUS in the resource set.

    Abstract: User equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling from a base station, the RRC signaling indicating a transmission coding scheme for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission. PUSCH-to-phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) energy per resource element (EPRE) ratio is determined using the RRC signaling. A PT-RS power boosting factor is determined based on the transmission coding scheme and the PUSCH-to-PT-RS EPRE ratio. The PT-RS is encoded for transmission using a plurality of PT-RS symbols, the transmission to using increased transmission power corresponding to the PT-RS power boosting factor. The RRC signaling further includes a flag enabling the PT-RS transmission. The PUSCH-to-PT-RS EPRE ratio is 00 or 01, and the transmission coding scheme is a codebook-based uplink transmission or non-codebook-based uplink transmission.

    Abstract: During integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node setup, a distributed unit (DU) is configured to transmit synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) for inter-IAB-node discovery and measurement. In parallel to SSB transmission by the DU, user equipment (UEs) and IAB-mobile terminations may be configured to search for and measure on SSBs at specific time instance. In the IAB case, the DU and MT configuration are coordinated to enable inter-node SSB measurements subject to the half-duplex constraint.
