Abstract: Manners of complying with SAR limits at a user equipment (UE) configured to establish a first communication connection using a first radio and a second communication connection using a second radio. The UE determines that a first application associated with the first communication connection is to be prioritized over a second application associated with the second communication connection, determines a specific absorption rate (SAR) value associated with the UE and modifies, responsive to the SAR value associated with the UE, a parameter associated with the first radio or the second radio based on at least the priority of the first application relative to the second application.

Abstract: A device implementing a system for NFC communication with a second device includes an antenna and a processor configured to transmit a pulse signal for detection of another device within proximity of the device, and to detect, in conjunction with transmission of the pulse signal, that a first value of a measurement parameter of the antenna satisfies an initial detection factor. The processor is further configured, in response to the detection, to set a confirmation detection factor for the measurement parameter of the antenna based at least in part on the first value of the measurement parameter of the antenna, to transmit a confirmation pulse signal, and to initiate a second polling for reception of data from the other device when a second value of the measurement parameter of the antenna detected in conjunction with transmission of the confirmation pulse signal satisfies the confirmation detection factor.

Abstract: A device implementing a system for NFC communication includes a processor configured to receive, from an other device, pulse signals for detecting proximity of the device with the other device. Abstract: Some embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product for managing the Ultra Wideband (UWB) systems, especially when the UWB system is collocated with another wireless system (e.g., WiFi) to transmit and/or receive UWB signals with an occupied bandwidth (OBW) that satisfies a UWB OBW standard (e.g., a UWB OBW>=500 MHz.) In some embodiments a TailBit signal (e.g., a periodic signal at a selected frequency) is added to a UWB packet to generate frequency components at the selected frequency that enables the power spectrum of the TailBit UWB signal to satisfy the UWB OBW standard. In some embodiments an altered code sequence is used to generate an altered spread signal, where the altered code sequence reduces or removes a frequency component peak near DC frequency of the power spectrum of an altered UWB signal, resulting in altered UWB OBW that satisfies the UWB OBW standard.

Abstract: This application relates to systems, methods, and apparatus for testing operability of a mobile device with a reader device. In some embodiments, a testing system is set forth for automatically placing the mobile device proximate to the reader device in order to initiate a wireless transaction between the mobile device and the reader device. Depending on whether the mobile device is determined to be operable with the reader device, the testing system can automatically place the mobile device proximate to another reader device for testing. In this way, reductions in testing time can be manifested as a result of automating the testing process.
