Abstract:
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving status change information from a first communication device of a first user over a network; adjusting a user profile of a second user responsive to the status change information; and providing the status change information to a group of second communication devices of the second user to cause the group of second communication devices to adjust operational parameters according to the status change information. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract:
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining an association between an ecosystem and a user, wherein the ecosystem includes a number of connected devices and a service function accessible via a network. A signal is detected based on a monitoring of a condition by a connected device of the number of connected devices, and responsive to the detecting of the signal a rule is determined. The rule is based on the signal and on the association between the ecosystem and the user. In further response to the detecting of the signal, a connection is facilitated to a service layer of the network and the service function is accessed via the service layer to facilitate delivery of a service based on the rule. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract:
A biometrics hub may establish a first schedule for processing first biometric data of a user, establishing a second schedule for processing second biometric data of the user, storing the first biometric data that is received from a first biometric device via a first persistent session, and store the second biometric data that is received from a second biometric device via a second persistent session. The biometrics hub may further transmit at least one of the first biometric data or the second biometric data to an authorized remote device in accordance with the first schedule or the second schedule. In one example, the transmitting includes establishing a session with the authorized remote device, sending the at least one of the first biometric data or the second biometric data to the authorized remote device via the session with the authorized remote device, and closing the session with the authorized remote device.
Abstract:
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting network traffic of a traffic flow at a traffic controller of a first portion of a software-defined network, wherein the detected network traffic is based on a service of a number of services. A source of the detected network traffic is identified based on the detected traffic, wherein the traffic flow is between a subscriber device and a service platform. The service is identified based on the detected network traffic, and a service requirement is determined based on the identifying of the service. A virtual network function of a plurality of virtual network functions is selected based on the source of the network traffic and the service requirement, and a traffic flow is facilitated between the subscriber device and the service platform by way of the virtual network function. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract:
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method comprising authenticating, by a server comprising a processor, a communication device to a first communication network, in accordance with authentication information stored in a first repository of the first communication network. The method also comprises determining, by the server, that a second communication network is accessible to the communication device. The method further comprises providing, by the server, the authentication information to a second repository of the second communication network in accordance with the determining, wherein the providing is performed independently of a request from the second communication network. Other embodiments are disclosed.
