Abstract:
A mounting arrangement for adding an auxiliary wheel spaced from an existing wheel of a motor vehicle including two or more generally cylindrical spacers connected together abutting end to end, an inner spacer attached to a brake assembly member with a preexisting wheel rim compressed between an inside face of the inner spacer and the brake assembly member, and an outer spacer connected to the inner spacer by bolts, and holding stud bolts extending out and received through holes in the auxiliary wheel rim, with lug nuts fixing the rim of the auxiliary wheel against the outside end of the outer spacer. An intermediate spacer between the inner and outer spacers may alternatively be provided detachably connecting the inner and outer spacers together, attached to an outside end of the inner spacer and to the inside end of the outer spacer by bolts.

A mounting arrangement for adding an auxiliary wheel spaced from an existing wheel of a motor vehicle including three generally cylindrical spacers connected together abutting end to end, an inner spacer attached to a brake assembly member with a preexisting wheel rim compressed between an inside face of the inner spacer and the brake assembly member, an intermediate spacer attached to an outside end of the inner spacer by bolts passing through axial holes through the intermediate spacer end threaded into holes in the outside end of the inner spacer and an outer spacer connected on its inside end to the outer end of the intermediate spacer by bolts, and holding stud bolts extending out and received through holes in the auxiliary wheel rim, with lug nuts fixing the rim of the auxiliary wheel against the outside end of the outer spacer.
Abstract:
A mobile drilling rig is mountable on a separate drive chassis having running gear. A separate main frame may be having elongated members, each having outer end extensions and vertically adjustable support posts thereon. A slide chassis is slidable on one end of the main frame mounting a power plant, and a mast pivot support pivotally mounted on the other end of the main frame. An elongated mast has a drill head movable thereon, with the mast pivot support slidably mounting the mast thereon so that the mast may be pivoted between vertical and horizontal orientations thereon while being movable in lengthwise directions. The slide chassis, the mast and drill head are moved to positions improving the stability of the rig when traversing grades in an up or down hill direction.
Abstract:
A method and pumping/drainage channel member for injecting surface water into the soil beneath a ground area includes drilling a series of holes and inserting an elongated pumping/drainage members into each hole extending downwardly into the soil. The pumping/drainage channel members comprise a cluster of integrally joined channel features each formed with a lengthwise extending slot opening. Surface water flows to the pumping/drainage member, enters the channels and drains down the pumping/drainage members to enhance water movement down into the soil to reduce runoff and help to recharge acquifers. Longer members may be installed between shorter members in a pattern to achieve more rapid injection of water deep into the subsoil.
Abstract:
A method and device for enhancing water percolation around a building or improvement area includes drilling a series of seepage holes beyond the deflector plates with drainage rods installed in the respective holes extending downwardly into the soil. The drainage rods comprise a cluster of integrally joined generally tubular features each formed with a lengthwise extending slot. Migrating ground water intercepts the rods, enters the slots and drains down the rods to enhance water percolation into the soil.

A gas valve (10) includes a shut off valve mechanism (11) with a control stem having two annular grooves (54) that receive a deformed teflon sealing member (52) to seal the control stem against leakage. The gas valve (10) also includes a pressure relief valve (17) that includes a bursting disc (74) spaced from a cup shaped shield member (80) that has venting notches about its periphery and is spaced outboard of the bursting disc.
Abstract:
An agricultural nutrient supply device includes a profile and cap. The profile defines chambers that extends along a longitudinal axis of the profile from the first end to the second end of the profile. The cap engages with an end of the profile. The cap includes an exterior wall open at a first end and defining a dome at a second end of the cap. The exterior wall defines open channels that extend from the first end of the cap to a chamber defined by the dome. Several agricultural nutrient supply devices are configured to be installed in the soil of an agricultural farming field as a sustainable agriculture passive system. The system is installed in the agricultural farming field, the devices access nutrients deep in the soil and passively supply those nutrients to crops planted at the surface of the field thereby reducing required fertilizer or tilling.
Abstract:
A method for dispersing nutrients from deep subsoil below the depth of soil in which tree roots are growing to increase the growth rate of the trees, which member directs gaseous fluid collected from the deep subsoil into the root zone soil where the tree roots are growing.
Abstract:
A device and method for loosening compacted soil, a plurality of tubular devices made from a resiliently compressible material having a hollow hub with a series of radially and circumferentially curving blades extending from the hub, a plurality of devices arranged in an array in soil to cause loosening of the soil as it seasonally expands and contracts and causes compression and subsequent expansion of the devices which in turn loosens the soil sufficiently to aerate the soil.
