Abstract: The disclosure pertains to an intravascular catheter, comprising an elongate member having a proximal end and a distal end, a balloon having an interior surface, an exterior surface, a lumen defined by the interior surface and a cylindrical wall extending between the interior surface and the exterior surface, the cylindrical wall having a proximal end and a distal end, the balloon having a plurality of weeping windows disposed in the wall and able to pass an electric current between the interior surface and the exterior surface and wherein the balloon wall is otherwise electrically insulative, and an electrode disposed in the balloon. The intravascular system is suited for modulation of renal nerves, for example.

Abstract: Thrombectomy catheter systems, accessory devices, and methods for making and using such devices are disclosed. An example thrombectomy system may include a catheter shaft having a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a lumen extending at least partially through the catheter shaft. A high pressure tube may be disposed within the lumen. The high pressure tube may be designed for communication with a fluid source. A fluid jet emanator may be coupled to the high pressure tube. The fluid jet emanator may have at least one jet orifice. The catheter shaft may include a first orifice disposed proximally of a distal end of the catheter shaft and a second orifice disposed proximally of the first orifice. An accessory device may be disposed within the lumen. The accessory device may include a helical distal region.

An electrode support may be coupled to the distal region of the elongate tubular member and extend over a body of the expandable member. The electrode support may be free of connection to the body of the expandable member. One or more electrodes may be coupled to the electrode support.

Abstract: Medical devices and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. An example medical device may include a medical device for renal nerve ablation. The medical device may include an elongate shaft having a distal region. An expandable member may be coupled to the distal region. A plurality of electrodes may be coupled to the expandable member and a single conductive member may be coupled to each electrode. Where one of the plurality of electrodes is active, the remaining electrodes may be inactive and act as ground or return electrodes. The electrode of the plurality of electrodes that is active may change over time.
