Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for management of registrations in an IMS network. The method includes: creating, for a given public identity, at least two registration queues, each one being associated with a registration policy; receiving a registration message sent by a terminal having the public identity; and assigning one of the registration queues to the terminal on the basis of a field included in the message.
Abstract:
A method is provided for updating a data-rendering device connected to a communications network by an intermediate device. A specific electronic address is assigned to the data-rendering device. The method includes associating at least one identifier, preliminarily assigned to the intermediate device, with the electronic address. The at least one identifier belongs to the group including at least: one dynamic connection identifier of the intermediate device and one user account identifier (AID).
Abstract:
A database in a system for consulting and/or updating one or more resource records, is stored by a domain name server, (DNS server), or a directory server, (the LDAP server), indirectly accessed from a DNS server. A communication arrangement enables the system to receive from a telecommunication terminal a request for consultation and/or modification of the record or a programming of such a request. A controller determines, from the consultation and/or modification request transmitted to the system or previously programmed in the system, a domain name and an operation to be performed on the record. A protocol manager searches, from the domain name, the IP address of the server storing the database and, according to the operation, transmits to the server a request to read or update the record.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for processing a request to instigate communication, received by a routing device associated with a plurality of terminals. The request relates to a communication to be established between a sender device of the request and at least one of the terminals. The method includes a step of comparing communication capabilities of said sender device with respective communication capabilities of one or more terminals, called addressee terminals, which are able to establish said communication, so as to identify at least one terminal having capabilities making it possible to establish with the sender device a communication of maximum quality. A call notification is transmitted to at least one of the addressee terminals, which is suitable for triggering on the addressee terminal a call presentation prompting a user to use, by priority, one of the terminals identified during the comparison step to establish the communication.
Abstract:
An SIP message processing method performed by a node of a telecommunications network, said network having a home gateway connected to an IMS network core via an access connection, at least a first SIP terminal and a second SIP terminal locally connected to said home gateway, said first SIP terminal being suitable for setting up a first SIP session to the IMS network core by passing via said access connection, said second SIP terminal being suitable for setting up a second SIP session to the IMS network core by passing via said access connection, said processing method including a step of obtaining a bandwidth of said access connection, said processing method being characterized in that it comprises: a step of receiving a first SIP message concerning the first SIP session; a step of determining the bandwidth in use by said first SIP session as a function of said first SIP message; a step of receiving a second SIP message concerning the second SIP session; a step of determining a bandwidth authorized for said second SIP session as a function of the second SIP message, of the bandwidth of the access connection, and of the bandwidth in use by the first SIP session; and a step of sending a third SIP message to said first terminal, said second terminal, or said IMS network core, said third message being determined as a function at least of said bandwidth authorized for said second SIP session, said third SIP message being for influencing a selection of bandwidth for the first SIP session or for the second SIP session.
